NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 44: Treasure Box Hunt

The merge was completed successfully, however he didn't hurriedly open the sword page to see the new skills he just got, as he still had three Sp points left, so he selected the hawk skill.

Without much ado he selected to learn it, spending the two Sp points gladly without any regret.

"Hawk skill: Movable skill. Chain skill. It enables the player to jump two times in a row, changing the trajectory of his sword in the process. At the end of the two jumps, the player will rotate on himself, and direct a hit towards the target. This attack can't be dodged, and it increases Str by two hundred percent. Cooldown three seconds."

It was a much better skill than he initially thought. The application of it would require some planning, though, but he was sure it could be easily added to his life saving skills, side by side to dash and ground breaker skills.

Getting this skill, he then opened the sword's info page.

"Twin shrine of death sword: part of a quest reward, temporarily lent to the player. Level zero sword. Grade gold. Str+ one hundred percent. Vit+one hundred percent.

Dash skill: Movable skill. Chain skill. increases Atp by two hundred percent, with stun effect when hitting the target from the dash for five seconds, decreased or increased one second for each level difference with the player. Cooldown: five seconds.

Dash piercer skill: movable skill. Chain skill. it makes the player jump three meters in air when the sword hit the target. It increases Atp by three hundred percent, with a stun effect when hitting the target from the dash for seven seconds, decreasing or increasing one second for each level difference with the player. Cooldown: five seconds.

Breaker piercer skill: Movable skill. Chain skill. it allows the sword to be moved to the back, defending any incoming strike, or attacking any enemy, then the player will turn to face the enemy, before dashing towards the enemy, with the sword hitting the target, carrying player and the target three meters in the air. It increases Atp by four hundred percent, with a stun effect when hitting the target from the dash for ten seconds, decreasing or increasing one second for each level difference with the player. Cooldown: five seconds."

'Wow! Just Wow!!' Bloom just muttered out of his disbelief to the new two skills he just acquired. The breaker piercer was a mind blowing for him, as the implications of this skill alone would turn it to be the joker of all his fighting styles!

The only problem here was that it was related to one sword alone. He looked at the second sword, then to his single remaining Sp point and helplessly sighed. If he didn't hurriedly spend the two Sp points on the other skill, he would only need two Sp points, and he could make his other sword have this skill as well when reaching level ten.

'I should start amassing Sp points from now then,' he just muttered, before closing the sword page, and then turn to look at everyone else.

The others were just glancing at him, glancing at the three pieces of Sherin set as they were drooling at them.

Unexpectedly, they didn't get anything at all like him, not a single gear! He just looked at their greedy eyes and laughed, despite not to, as their faces were really funny.

"Thank god you aren't cannibals, or I would have goosebumps," he said, joking, while shaking his head.

"How did you get these fancy looking gears?" San asked.

"Are they gold grade?" Gimmy asked.

"Are they one set?" Gored asked.

"Do you get any staff?" Peri asked, with a soft tone that made his heart shudder.

"Guys," he suddenly said, "calm yourselves for a bit, these are the system rewards, didn't you get any?" he asked what he was sure to hear the answer about.

"No," they all shook their heads and replied at the same time. Bloom just looked at them for a moment before looking around him, trying to find something to distract their attention, changing the topic.

The moment he did so, he felt the strangeness here. "How come we are still inside the dungeon?"

His question managed to attract their attention, as this was strange.

"Weren't we kicked outside the dungeon after the boss monster vanished in the last dungeon?" Gored muttered, as this seemed off.

As for Bloom, his mind started to work, trying to know what was wrong here.

"A treasure box!"

After moments of thinking, he suddenly shouted that while patting on his forehead. This incident rarely occurred in the dungeons below level ten, but this wasn't a normal dungeon after all.

"Did you just say a treasure box?" Gored hurriedly asked, with shiny eyes. Bloom just smiled, as he knew what it meant for a player here to find a treasure box.

Free Sp points, free Tp points, even real skills and gears, and potions were always present, plus some other rare and unique items, like scrolls and architectural designs.

He wasn't aiming to build a village or a town, he was aiming to demolish them. If he found a siege weapon blueprint then he would be much ecstatic, but such advanced blueprints would never fall this early in the game.

"It's the only explanation for the dungeon to remain up till now," he said while he started observing everything around him. he wasn't the only one to do so, as everyone else also did the same, while Peri muttered:

"I can't see any treasure box."

"It only appears after the kill of the boss monster," Bloom said, before looking towards the tunnel that led to here, "the problem is this treasure box is only available for a certain limited amount of time," he muttered, before he moved towards the tunnel, starting to run.

Everyone glanced at each other before they also started to run. "How much time do we need?" Gored asked.

"Dunno," Bloom honestly replied, "each treasure box had its own time limit according to the grade of it," he added, as he fastened his speed, while others were just struggling to catch up to him from far.

Bloom, on the other hand, wasn't concerned with others. One player would be able to open the box, and then he could distribute the contents on everyone later.

He already wasted too much time selecting his skills, if he knew this from the beginning, he would have postponed that selection process until he went outside the dungeon.

He reached the tenth hall, rapidly glanced at it, then he continued running when he didn't find anything here. that treasure box grade would be determined by the grade of the dungeon, and this wasn't a normal one, but a red dungeon.

He knew clearing such a dungeon later on, at higher levels, would be a real pain, so if he lost this treasure box, then it would be a huge loss to him.

He was sure there was something special inside that box, and he was determined to get it.
