X-Rank Hunter

Chapter 65: Royal Hunters

Meanwhile...

Somewhere in Encantadia...

In one of the Maharlika Kingdom's Shadow Land, Biga Village...

After talking with Sheiyn for a good while, they finally finished chatting with each other as Charley brought Sheiyn to her room to rest. After bidding some farewell and good nights, Charley then took a peek inside her son's room and found him already in a deep sleep. His tamed beast, Bantay, was completely forgotten by his Master and was now lying on the sofa, couldn't even nap a little.

After his Master went inside his room, Bantay just decided to wait on the sofa but found it a little boring.

Charley also noticed this now. So she came closer to him and gave him something like a bead. It was black and its size was just enough for a hand of an adult human to hold grasp onto it entirely.

Bantay accepted what the other party had given to him but he was completely clueless on what was that so he asked, "What's this?"

Charley smiled as she replied, "Put your consciousness in."

Manipulating one's consciousness or shifting it to the other things or living beings was definitely difficult for the Low Rankers or most of the Middle Rankers but for a High Ranker beast such as him, such a feat wasn't too difficult to do.

He then stared at the small bead intently for a moment then finally closed his eyes. He put his consciousness within the bead afterward. To his surprise, there was actually a small world within as many wooden puppets could be found. Bantay realized that these puppets were actually used to train one's strength.

Bantay felt delighted as he rushed towards the puppets to bring forth destruction in his wake. After all, he was yet to test his current strength. Earlier, he really wanted to go outside and fight some demons but he suppressed his urge and chose to guard his master in his sleep.

Now that there were a lot of puppets here, he could finally show his full strength. Though it was only his consciousness that was here, putting up all of his strength using his consciousness had only a little difference compared to his physical body unleashing his strength.

Besides, he could go all out using his consciousness and worry not about any unnecessary damage. Knowing about this could really make Bantay felt delighted.

Charley saw Bantay smiling even after the other party's consciousness was already inside the bead. Charley was happy as well.

"Now then..." After a few moments, Charley walked outside their house and went to a certain structure. It was actually the place where the Village Chief was residing.

Charley opened the door but she was yet to enter when she heard an angry shout, "What the hell takes you for so long?"

The voice was of course a possession of Sam!

He was waiting for a couple of hours already and this woman was still yet to arrive! How could he not be angry with that?

Jason had just arrived as well. It appeared that this Jason was waiting for Charley and only came here when Charley was on her way.

But what else could he do? Sam knew full well that these two were way stronger than him. Other than shouting at them in anger, making a move against them was not an option. It mustn't.

Charley didn't say anything as she entered the building. She then closed the door tightly afraid that someone would accidentally barge in.

Inside that building, only three people were there. In the middle of the room was Sam sitting on his chair and in front of him was a table. Jason was seated patiently on the right chair in front of the table while Charley had just entered.

Seeing that all of them were there, Charley finally said, "Since all of us is here, let's begin then."

"..." Sam was speechless. This woman was the reason why they couldn't begin. How could she have the guts on saying those words?

"Fine! Let's go to that room!" As indignant as he was, Sam still beckoned for the two of them to come over.

He stood up and walked to a narrow passageway until they reach a certain door. It was black in color and looked like heavy metal. Its luster reflected from the crystal light around.

Sam breathed a deep one as he pushed the door with both of his hands in difficulty. Slowly, the door was divided into half and was opened, and a darkroom was revealed.

"Let's go in!" Sam invited as he first entered the room. The two followed suit. The moment they all entered a light revealed itself and a circular room was shown.

The light came from many small crystal lights placed on the walls and roof of the room. The room wasn't too huge perhaps it was about 20 meters in diameter. At the very center of it was nine chairs facing each other, forming a circular shape.

As they walked in, the door had closed in itself and it appeared that no ordinary human could open it anymore.

The three sat on their respective seat according to what rank they were. It appeared that this was a meeting between the eight Royal Hunters!

Sam was ranked seventh so he was naturally seated on the seventh chair. The count was starting from right to left and it started next to the chair that was bigger than the rest. It was the 0th chair! From the looks of it, this seat was something given to the one higher than all of them.

Jason was surprisingly the first rank among the eight Royal Hunters as he sat on the right chair next to the 0th chair. On the other hand, Charley was third in rank.

Not too long after they sat in their respective seat, something like projections of humans appeared on the rest of the chairs. It seemed like the person seated on it didn't need to come here personally!

But the 0th chair was still empty and there was no sign of someone appearing on it.

"So what happened?" The moment the rest of the chairs except the 0th chair had a person seated on it, someone from the crowd immediately asked. They were naturally asking the three here about what had just happened.

They were suddenly summoned here for who knew what the reason. But knowing that every summons made in here was an urgent matter, they still stopped whatever they were doing to answer the call and went here without reluctance.

Of course, the certain someone in the 0th chair was excepted from the summoning.

Jason didn't beat around the bush and directly replied, "We encountered the Knights of Hell and fought them."

"What?!" Everyone was astonished and found it somewhat inconceivable.

"Then why are you three still alive?" After a few moments of astonishment, the person seated on the second chair asked bluntly.

The crowd went silent. Indeed, if they fought the Knights of Hell, why were they still alive? Escape? How could they escape from them so easily? Even the entire family of the strongest family of the kingdom was wiped out by a single member of Knights of Hell so how could they survive if they really fought them?

Besides, just what the hell did happen? How could they encounter them all of a sudden? Did a dungeon break had just occurred? That was probably what was likely that happened.

The other five Royal Hunters were of course oblivious to the fact that a sudden appearance of an S-rank dungeon had just transpired in Biga Village. This Shadow Land was, after all, separated from the world. If the news didn't come from the inside, no one would know what was happening in there.

"We just faced their clones with a bunch of Semi-Demons." Seeing the shock from all of them, Charley couldn't suppress her laugh any longer and chuckled softly. "Don't worry that much, their clones seem only to have a 10% of the original's full strength."

"I-is that so?" Everyone nodded in realization as they felt a bit awkward from their meaningless reactions. No wonder it was somewhat suspicious for them to be alive after fighting the Knights of Hell, it appeared that they just fought a clone.

Though all of them were not confident of winning against any member of Knights of Hell in full strength, they were still confident to win against a clone that just had a 10% of the original's strength.

"So why did you call us? It can't be that you just wanted to brag that you fought a Knights of Hell right?" The one seated on the fourth chair asked.

"Haha of course not." Charley laughed as she continued in all seriousness, "I managed to peek on some of the memories of the Knights of Hell that I fought..."

Hearing her speaking, everyone was then again silent as they focused all their attention on whatever Charley was going to say. They could tell that this really was a very serious matter.

"They are preparing to launch an all-out war and they are going after the other three Original Sin and the last two Sovereign's Vessel.

"So we must have a talk with those idiots from that filthy organization and with those bunch of assassins.

"We don't have a lot of time left. Maybe next year they will begin their attack or maybe next decade.

"But no matter what, we must be on guard at all times for that day shall steal upon us like a thief!"
