The Complete Guide to Rearing an Alien Boyfriend

Chapter 45

Chapter 45 Broken Friendship
Wei Wei’s eyes were blank as she gazed out of the window.

She was dressed in beautiful western style clothes. Her hair had been dyed blonde, curled and combed into a ponytail. She had on long, thick false eyelashes. She looked exactly like a doll.

A blonde woman with short hair, in her early twenties, sat next to her.

The woman had a natural beauty. She seemed very capable and good at handling people. She was wearing a light blue suit with white stripes.

Mo Kun found the short-haired woman’s facial features resembled that of Cheng Yilun, but her features were stronger. He asked Cheng Yilun, “Is she your sister?”

Cheng Yilun said, “She’s my elder sister, Cheng Yimei.”

Mo Kun laughed and said, “Your father is an old fox. He didn’t even show up for the deal.”

Cheng Yilun had a twisted admiration for his father and could not bear for anyone to speak ill of his father. So he was very disgruntled and scolded, “Old Fox? Please watch what you are saying.”

Mo Kun did not bother to reply. He injected some drugs into Yi Lun and then fed him some sleeping pills.

Then, while he was asleep, he attached some chips in his brain.

He looked at the time. It was exactly half an hour. He instructed the MK7 to wait at the door. He then carried Cheng Yilun and walked into the cafe through the door.

A harmonious and gentle melody, titled“Remember Me” from an episode of Coco, was playing in the cafe.

A young waiter in a neat uniform came up, smiled and said, “Hello! How many guests, please?”

Mo Kun said, “I have an appointment.”

Cheng Yimei had seen Mo Kun entering the door and she waved warmly to him.

Her smile easily fooled people who didn’t know the truth, into thinking that she and Mo Kun were good friends and had an appointment at the coffee shop.

Who would have thought that they were making a life-and-death deal?

Mo Kun smiled, walked over, threw Cheng Yilun into his seat and sat next to him, face to face with Cheng Yimei.

Wei Wei’s eyes were open and when she saw Mo Kun, a glimmer of hope appeared in her blank eyes.

Cheng Yimei frowned, smiled and said, “Why are they both drunk? Waiter, two cups of coffee to sober them up, please.”

The waiter took the order, then smiled and asked, “What else do you want?”

Cheng Yimei said, “Give me a piece of Tiramisu.” Then she asked Mo Kun, “Honey, what do you want?”

Mo Kun took the menu and pretended to look at it. However, his mind was searching Cheng Yilun’s memory at the same time.

He discovered that Cheng Yimei was a top student from Harvard Business School and she often jumped grades in elementary and junior high school, so she was only twenty when she graduated from college.

After she returned home, with her father, Cheng Gong’s support, she founded Beauty Entertainment Company and became its female president.

Beauty Entertainment had a lot of famous artists on its payroll but also had a lot of new artists and Cheng Yimei herself was one of them.

Two years ago, her company launched a TV series called Harvard Beauty, which was said to have been adapted from Cheng Yimei’s experience at Harvard.

Cheng Yimei, who previously worked as the number two female lead in two TV series, was the producer and heroine of this TV series. She won the best actress award for this TV series and quickly became a hot hit.

She was a rare exemplification of success in the entertainment industry in the way she made herself famous.

She had excellent resources and formidable connections. She had both wisdom and beauty. With the addition of her neutral gender charm and exceptional acting skills, she soon became a front-line actress and online star with a huge fan base.

Mo Kun watched the evolution of Cheng Yimei and thought, “Her acting is much better than general people! No wonder, she can act so naturally!”

He closed the menu, shook his head and said, “Miss Cheng, I just had a meal and am still full. I don’t want to eat anything.”

Cheng Yimei laughed and said, “Then you can take Weiwei home first.”

She propped Wei Wei up. Mo Kun stood up. After confirming that Wei Wei’s life was not in danger, he picked Wei Wei up, said goodbye politely and went out.

Cheng Yimei watched Mo Kun’s chic back with interest and then looked at her brother, who was sleeping like a dead pig and making loud grunting noises. The friendly smile on her face disappeared in an instant.

Mo Kun took Wei Wei to Xiede Hospital.

Long Xi had helped Grandma, Yu Lanjie and the foreign boy to check into the hospital. She had also made a report to the police and notified Yu Lanjie’s parents.

Yu Lanjie’s parents arrived to take care of their only daughter in the ward.

Two young policemen had just finished interviewing and taking down Long Xi’s statements.

Maybe what happened was too fantastic. Both policemen’s expressions were showing signs of disbelief.

Long Xi helped Wei Wei go through the hospitalization procedures and notified Wei Wei’s parents. In the process, Wei Wei kept crying and did not look at Long Xi.

Mo Kun showed the policeman the foreign ID card he had made, which was as good as a real one and said he grew up in an orphanage abroad.

The police checked it and found nothing wrong. They registered his details and took down notes.

It was dawn.

Long Xi felt worried about Grandma and she want to accompany Grandma in the hospital.

Mo Kun was more concerned about Long Xi. He took Long Xi home to bathe and change her clothes. After Long Xi took their toiletries, Mo Kun accompanied her back to the hospital to take care of Grandma in the ward.

The hospital served meals. Long Xi bought a casserole of porridge with dried scallops. She filled two bowls, one bowl for Grandma and one bowl for Mo Kun.

Mo Kun asked, “What about you?”

Long Xi said, “You eat first. I have to feed Grandma. I’ll eat later.”

Mo Kun laughed, “Oh, you’re good. It’s very virtuous! However, even though you are so perfect, you lack one thing.”

“What’s that?” Long Xi asked shyly.

“You need me!” Mo Kun touched his nose and laughed.

Long Xi’s face turned red again. She thought, “What is this? Could you stop hitting on me whenever you have a chance?”

After Grandma ate a bowl of porridge and was put on an intravenous drip, her situation gradually improved and she fell asleep.

Long Xi said to Mo Kun, “I’ll visit them in the next room.”

Mo Kun said, “Go ahead. I will look after Grandma.”

Long Xi nodded. With Mo Kun inside, she felt reassured.

She found Wei Wei’s ward and heard a cry from outside the door.

She hesitated for a moment and finally plucked up the courage to walk in.

Wei Wei was crying in her mother’s arms. Wei Wei’s mother was crying too. Wei Wei’s father was consoling them.

Wei Wei had been injected with a large dose of anesthesia and was back to normal.

When she saw Long Xi, she picked up her pillow and threw it at Long Xi. “Get out of here! I don’t want to see you! We are no longer friends!”

Wei Wei’s mother pointed angrily at Long Xi and said, “You are Long Xi? It was you caused Weiwei’s body to be ruined by bad people! Get out. We will never forgive you for a lifetime.”

She was stunned.

She expected Weiwei to be angry with her, but didn’t expect that Weiwei would say such cruel words.

There was such a deep feeling between them! Could their friendship break up so easily?
