The Abandoned Hunter

Chapter 210: Acknowledgment - Part 1

'Five seconds are more than enough…'

The demon art, he could use that only for five seconds which he considered to be enough to destroy Reina.

'Yes, this will be enough if she has the same power level as Alon…'

Of course, all he thought about was Alon's level.

When he first arrived and saw his speed, he was shocked and after hearing his story, he kept wondering the reason for Alon's failure and such a wussy attitude.

Though he was kind, his attitude didn't suit a demon that he had imagined about.

Of course, it could have been plot or something else to win over, however, such kindness was like a freshener.

And his strength was overwhelming too so Jay was doubtful about the existence of another demon as strong as him.

So it didn't matter to him at the moment.

Since he had already challenged there was no backing off, but was he really going to fight?

Well, no, he wasn't going to fight anyway, for now at least.

'I guess it's time to equip them…'

The final touch which Jay wanted to give was equipping the hammer of darkness. That was the biggest thing that would through them off guard.

This was precisely what Jay wanted to do since the start.

All this time head had been building the atmosphere for this. No matter what, he couldn't waste another moment.

Since Reina rushed and closed the distance which he intended to do since the start, it gave him much more advantage.

[ You have summoned The Hammer Of Darkness ]

[ All your stats have been temporarily increased by 500 points ]

[ Passive Skill Intimidation has been activated ]

[ Usage of all other weapons is denied due to the high-level difference ]

[ Effects of all skills has been risen by 200% ]

[ Recovery rate is increased by 100% ]

[ Partial Body Armor equipped ]

[ Blood restoration has been increased by 500% ]

The hammer appeared in his hands. Without wasting any time, he used up all his powers in just swing it.

Of course, his body had to match Reina's speed which it did.

How?

Well, thanks to the insane boosts and the runes that he used earlier. Also, the demon art helped him a lot at the same time.

Due to these things he was able to match up with her speed and was able to attack her.

He gave a clean blow at her face.

'Boom'

The sound was quite loud for just hitting the face. The sound of skull-cracking wasn't heard, in fact, a sound as if something had exploded was heard.

As weird as it may have been, it was similarly effective.

Actually, despite being so fast and precise, the demon general Reina was still able to react to the attack.

She somehow pulled the whip that she was holding towards her face just when the hammer was about to strike her.

Of course, the whip ended up in shreds because of the massive strike of the hammer which hit the handle/hilt of the whip.

More than that, the hammer pushed through and ended up hitting her face resulting in a small concussion that caused her to faint almost immediately after taking the attack.

Her face seemed to have been smashed completely. The attack was lethal for real.

The hammer was heavy on its own. For reasons unknown, no one else could use or pick the hammer.

It would either automatically increase its weight or would decrease others' strength. Only when it meets the compatible type would it not do such things.

Jay thought about using this to his advantage.

He had great strength but that was insufficient to bring Reina down. Of course, not after her whip interfered with the attack.

That was why Jay left the hammer momentarily probably due to which its weight increased by a thousand times.

There you have it, the lethal crushing effect of the hammer.

One could use the hammer in such a way too! It was probably Jay who had discovered this for the first time.

Even the Dark Overlord wouldn't have discovered this, to be precise, he never found a need to use it.

Reina was left unconscious on seeing which Alon and the rest demon generals were surprised.

Davy, the most composed one, also showed signs of flinching and being shocked.

'Defeated with just a hit?'

'No matter how reckless she was…'

'A demon generals getting knocked out from one hit, is that even possible?', Davy questioned himself.

"Wha-", Borthod was still confused and had no idea as to what happened a second ago.

Reina went with full force expecting to kill Jay or at least rip his arm or something, instead, she ended up getting crushed.

*gulp*

'Am I dreaming?', Alon questioned himself after seeing this.

'Well, considering the fact that master is the Dark Overlord himself…'

"…"

'This much is normal….'

'But just how powerful is he to be able to crush a demon general in just a single attack?'

There were many thoughts wandering in Alon's mind.

Davy was suspicious of what had happened when suddenly he noticed the hammer.

"Th-"

"That hammer is…"

He hadn't noticed the hammer until now, the same was with others too.

Although the strike was possible because of the hammer, it just seemed like a normal weapon.

However, when Davy took a closer look at it, the dark aura that was being emitted from the hammer was quite familiar.

"No way, that hammer is-", he could barely open his mouth.

Where did his calmness go?

His eyes were widely opened and he was breaking out cold sweats continuously.

The sight of the hammer sent chills down his spine and his entire body was experiencing a weird sensation that he had never felt earlier.

He almost immediately kneeled in front of Jay and said, "I greet his highness!"

All the words that Jay had said now made sense to him, but not for Borthod.

He was still looking here and there while being puzzled with what exactly was happening.

"What are you doing Davy?"

"Why are you kneeling in front of a human?"

"Did he manipulate your mind?", Borthod started to ask such questions.

"…"

Davy didn't reply for a second.

Then he glared at Borthod as if he was demanding him to do the same.

But Borthod could hardly understand what he meant. All he wanted was a reason why Davy was kneeling.

'Why should I kneel in front of a mere human?'

'Surely, he defeated her with a single strike, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I have bow!'

Pride, that's what held him back from kneeling.

Jay didn't expect him not to kneel. Also, he was a bit tired at the moment and wanted to pant and breath heavily because of the strain that the arts put on his body.

But he couldn't possibly show a weak side of himself after setting all the things up.

If he were to do that, then everything would be destroyed in an instant.

Also, he had no more power to take care of anyone else. All his power had almost been drained.

It was hard enough for him to even stand while holding the hammer even though it seemed weightless to him.

"So, you want to experience this too?", Jay asked with a dominant voice.

Of course, he meant that he would let Borthod get hit by his hammer.

Foolish Borthod, even now he hadn't noticed the hammer.

Jay was waiting for Davy to step in and he did exactly as Jay wanted after Borthod said, "Come on, bring it on!"

'Boom'

Davy slammed Borthod's head on the ground.

"I'm sorry master, he is a little foolish…"

"I hope you forgive him for such an unsightly behavior."

Davy apologized in place of Borthod.

"You-", Borthod was trying to resist, well, until Davy told him about the reason for his bowing.

'You fool, you are in the presence of the Dark Overlord!', he said via sound transmission directly to the head.

'What!?'

When Borthod heard that, he was shocked completely.

'The Dark Overlord…?'

'You mean…'

'This human is THE DARK OVERLORD!?'

Davy just nodded his head without relaying via sound transmission.

They had basically acknowledged him as the Dark Overlord however Borthod still had no idea as to how Davy was able to recognize him.

'But…'

'How did you know?'

Borthod expected an answer from Davy because, at the moment, there were tons of thoughts in his head.

"…"

To be continued…
