Supreme Dragon Seal

Chapter 40: Molesting

Ming Yue stayed in her bedroom for a while before finally walking out, where she found Qi Bei waiting for her.

“Let’s go,” Qi Bei smiled slightly and extended his hand once again.

Ming Yue didn’t ignore him this time. She placed her dainty hand in Qi Bei’s hand as he led her outside.

In the garden of the Dreaming Moon Palace, two rows of finely dressed palace maids had already been positioned under the direction of the ceremonial officer. The Nord family’s attendants who had come with Qi Bei saw him and the princess holding hands, and they approached them to drape a light-colored flowing ribbon over them that was several tens of meters long. Their main role was to hold the ribbon from both sides, making it look like a fluttering neon light.

It was true that Qi Bei and Princess Ming Yue looked like a perfect couple when standing together.

Qi Bei led Ming Yue onto the carriage. The roof and walls of the carriage were lowered, forming a large platform that was visible to the onlookers.

With a command, the carriage slowly moved out of the palace gates.

At this time, there were several times more onlookers on the imperial road than when they had come. At first glance, it looked like a dense crowd.

“Ming Yue, are you nervous? Your palms are sweating,” Qi Bei asked with a smile, ignoring the loud cheering of the crowd.

“It’s because your hand is too hot,” Ming Yue replied faintly, trying to pull her hand back with a little force. However, Qi Bei’s hold was tight, and she couldn’t break free.

“Don’t move, or I’ll kiss you in public. These people are all waiting to watch a show,” Qi Bei joked.

Ming Yue dared not move anymore. She believed that if Qi Bei said he would do it, he would. If the two of them started to fight on the carriage, the entire Golden Leaf Empire would become a laughingstock among neighboring kingdoms.

“I heard that your senior brother has come,” Qi Bei said casually.

“Yes,” Ming Yue nodded.

“I feel like there’s a knife in my back now. Your senior brother seems to want to kill me with his gaze?” Qi Bei glanced at the back left corner and whispered in Ming Yue’s ear.

Qi Bei’s hot breath blew on Ming Yue’s delicate earlobe, making her blush instinctively.

“Can you stay away from me a little?” Ming Yue gritted her teeth in anger. She was afraid that she would not be able to resist kicking him off the carriage with one foot. The fact that she allowed him to hold her hand was already her utmost patience.

“Oh, I see him now. That guy, he looks like a person but with a dog-like appearance. Huh, why are his eyes red? Did he get pink eye?” Qi Bei ignored Ming Yue’s words and spoke to himself.

Ming Yue slightly frowned. She hoped that this senior brother wouldn’t do anything foolish at this moment.

“He’s holding a wand and reciting a spell,” Qi Bei’s voice suddenly turned cold.

Ming Yue’s heart skipped a beat as she turned her head to look.

Just as she turned around, Qi Bei quickly kissed Ming Yue’s cheeks.

Ming Yue was shocked and her body froze. She turned to glare at Qi Bei, her eyes like a stormy sea, and her charming face was flushed red with anger and shame.

“You smell good,” Qi Bei smirked.

Ming Yue faced Qi Bei with a cold expression, on the verge of losing her temper.

“We’re here, let’s go down. You have enough face as a royal princess. The entire Nord family has come out to greet us,” Qi Bei said.

Ming Yue’s anger was extinguished as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over a raging fire. She looked ahead and saw that they had arrived at the entrance of the Nord family mansion. Qi Bei’s father, several uncles, and a dozen or so cousins had all come out to greet them.

Ming Yue gave Qi Bei a fierce look with her sharp eyes, and she took a deep breath to calm her emotions. Her smile looked a little stiff.

Among the crowd stood Feng Tian, a disciple of the Heavenly Mountain Peak, holding a purple-colored magic wand, but the look of anger on his face seemed frozen. A strong killing intent was locked onto his body, making him unable to move. He was a King-grade mage, an extremely powerful presence in the eyes of the world, but the person lurking in the shadows was at least a top-tier earth-grade mage.

It wasn’t until Ming Yue and Qi Bei entered the Nord family mansion that the killing intent disappeared.

Feng Tian’s expression was uncertain, but he secretly rejoiced. Just now, Qi Bei’s intimacy with Ming Yue almost made him lose his mind. If he had acted, he might not have been able to control the situation.

After Qi Bei and Ming Yue finished the early banquet at the Nord family mansion, they joined the members of the Nord family and other eligible participants to head to the Temple of the Goddess Of Life in the southern part of the imperial city for the engagement ceremony.

The Goddess of Life and the God of Light are the two main gods that most people in this world believe in, simply because they saved the world by resealing the gates of the Netherworld a hundred thousand years ago.

Almost every city has a temple for the Goddess of Life and the God of Light, simply called the Light Temple, and believers flock to worship every day.

The temple of the Goddess of Life located in the imperial city of Golden Leaf Empire was grand in scale. The square in front of the temple alone could accommodate tens of thousands of people, and the statue of the Goddess of Life stood in the center of the square, towering ten meters high. She held the scepter of life with a pure and holy smile, making people feel as if they are basking in a spring breeze.

On this day, the temple of the Goddess of Life has already been decorated with flowers and many guests were gathering, waiting for the two main characters to arrive.

Emperor Han Mo, dressed in casual clothes, was chatting warmly with the patriarch of the Nord family, Kurt Nord. The monarch and his subject seemed to be enjoying each other’s company. For these old-timers, even if they harbor deep-seated hatred, they can still put on a friendly smile without showing a trace of their true emotion.

“What are you thinking about, Ruoyu?” Feng Ruoyun patted her little sister’s back, who was staring blankly ahead with her hand propping up her head, and asked.

“I feel so bored,” Feng Ruoyu replied listlessly.

“Bored? Even you get bored sometimes? Weren’t you the one who loved these occasions the most before? And where are those little boys who were following you just a moment ago? Did you chase them away?” Feng Ruoyun asked with great interest, firing a series of questions.

“Ugh, sister, I don’t know, those little brats just keep bragging and being childish!” Feng Ruoyu said disdainfully.

Feng Ruoyun couldn’t help but laugh, sat down and wrapped her arms around her sister’s shoulder, asking in a teasing tone, “Then who does my little sister think is not childish?”

Feng Ruoyu blinked her large emerald eyes and blurted out, “Of course, it’s… my brother-in-law.”

Feng Ruoyun tapped her sister’s small head and said, “You, what are you hiding in that little brain of yours? You’re small but you’re crafty.”

“Sister, are we going back after we attend the engagement ceremony?” Feng Ruoyu asked.

“Of course, we’ve been out for quite a while,” Feng Ruoyun nodded.

“But, I haven’t finished listening to Brother Qi Bei’s story yet,” Feng Ruoyu pouted.

Feng Ruoyun was stunned for a moment, her beautiful eyes fixed on Feng Ruoyu as if trying to read something from her little sister’s face.
