Supreme Dragon Seal

Chapter 160: Instant Kill

Qi Bei furrowed his brow but didn’t say anything. It seemed that Han Misi had concluded that he couldn’t be of any help. Since he had already handed over the item, Qi Bei didn’t bother to intervene.

Han Misi’s face was full of disappointment. Their destination was within reach, but they had lost more than ten comrades, and in the end, they would return empty-handed.

At that moment, the wind mage opened the silk pouch. A sparkling light radiated from it, casting a sinister glow on the mage’s face.

Just as the silk pouch was opened, a tiny head poked out from Qi Bei’s embrace, chirping urgently with a purple beak drooling saliva.

Qi Bei understood. Xiao Zi was eager to devour the contents of the silk pouch.

“Very well, you may leave,” the King-grade wind mage chuckled, her voice naturally rough but with a touch of girlish laughter that sent shivers down one’s spine.

“Let’s go back,” Han Misi ordered, his appearance suddenly aging considerably.

The group turned around, except for Qi Bei, who remained seated on the Flame Horse King, calmly gazing at the woman. He sensed her killing intent.

“Why don’t you turn around?” the mage asked.

“Turn around? So you can kill us more easily?” Qi Bei smiled.

Upon hearing this, Han Misi and the others abruptly turned back, on high alert.

“Hehe, you’re smart. Smart people die early,” the mage laughed, her laughter trembling with a touch of madness.

Qi Bei shook his beard and sighed, “Old lady, stop trembling. With such a flat chest, even if you shake, there won’t be a ripple.”

The wind mage’s smile froze, and she stared at Qi Bei with icy coldness. The atmosphere suddenly turned frigid, and the aura of death permeated the air.

It was then that Han Misi noticed a faint blue magical barrier surrounding them, and there was not a single figure in sight in the cave.

“Damn it! When people are dying, who cares about this bitch anymore?” Han Misi’s breathing was heavy, his eyes bloodshot. Pushed to the brink, he let go of all his worries.

Dozens of people brandished their weapons, hacking at the faint blue magical barrier. However, among them, the highest level of strength was only Intermediate warrior. How could they break through the restriction set by the King-grade mage?

The female mage looked on coldly, as if watching ants struggling. Suddenly, she raised her head and looked at the bearded man who stood motionless with a half-smile on his face, feeling a twinge of unease.

Who does this kid think he is, trying to show off…

The mage decided to end the battle swiftly due to the growing sense of restlessness. She raised her staff, her lips chanting quickly, and a violent surge of magical energy filled the air. Within the blue magical barrier, a tornado with a diameter of more than ten meters quickly formed. In the spinning tornado, countless wind blades were brought into motion.

Han Misi’s face turned pale. His subordinates, who had been howling in desperation, now had faces full of despair. Their desperate momentum plummeted as they helplessly watched the unstoppable tornado approach, about to tear them into pieces.

Finally, Qi Bei made a move. He darted into the newly formed tornado fast as lightning.

Is he seeking death?

While the rest of the group remained in a dazed and hopeless state, suddenly numerous golden lights shot out from the tornado. The tornado was abruptly halted as if held in place by a giant hand. If the tornado no longer spun, could it still be called a tornado?

In an instant, the despair-inducing tornado dissipated into nothingness for Han Misi and his companions.

The female mage’s face changed. She realized that she had underestimated Qi Bei’s strength. To be able to stop her King-grade magic, even a pinnacle warrior of King-grade would find it challenging. A sense of fear crept into her heart. Since she had obtained what she wanted, it was better to retreat.

“You want to run? Can you escape?” Qi Bei burst into laughter as his body passed directly through the magical barrier, to the disbelief of the female mage.

Escape, as far as possible! This was the only thought in the female mage’s mind. The gusts of wind had already lifted her body, and as long as she had a moment to breathe, she could vanish into the sky.

However, she didn’t have that chance anymore. A hand radiating golden light gripped her delicate neck like a pair of iron pliers. A strange energy suppressed her body and her spirit.

And in the next second, Qi Bei’s body fully materialized.

“Le… let me go…” The female mage’s face twisted in terror as she managed to force out these words from her throat.

“Impossible.” Qi Bei said calmly. With a firm grip, there was a crisp “snap” sound as he directly snapped her throat.

Immediately after, he searched her body and found the embroidered bag, then rummaged through her belongings and discovered a money pouch. The wind mage of King-grade didn’t have a spatial ring; after all, not everyone could possess one.

Turning around, Qi Bei found Han Misi and his group staring at him in astonishment.

Han Misi had always thought that Qi Bei was at most a senior warrior, but he never imagined that he could effortlessly kill a King-grade mage. Did that mean he possessed the strength of an Earth-grade powerhouse?

Earth-grade powerhouse! Han Misi felt like he was dreaming. He had never seen such a high-grade expert in his entire life.

In the mortal world, Earth-grade powerhouses rarely appeared. Once they reached that realm, their focus was mostly on cultivation, striving for higher levels of Heaven-grade and Saint-grade. Therefore, it was not an exaggeration to say that a Earth-grade powerhouse could disdain most of the secular authorities.

When referring to “most,” it was because in some deeply rooted dynasties, a few old fellows with Earth-grade strength might still be found.

Qi Bei opened the embroidered bag, and Xiao Zi couldn’t wait to peck at the gem emitting a sparkling light inside.

“A fragment of the Sky Heart?” Qi Bei paused for a moment, sensing the rich celestial energy contained within the irregularly shaped gem. Wasn’t it just a fragment of the blue heart-shaped stone that Yao Rao held in her hand before?

Such a fragment of the Sky Heart was actually considered priceless by these people? Even a King-grade mage would kill and snatch for it.

Then, with the hundreds of Death Hearts and Life Hearts in his spatial ring, wouldn’t he be able to lure out the old folks from the five Holy Lands?

Qi Bei was truly ignorant of his own wealth. Back in the Undead Mountains, if it weren’t for the last resort, Yao Rao would never have been willing to use that piece of the Sky Heart. Although he knew that a Death Heart and Life Heart were precious, he never expected this type of energy stone to be so scarce.

Once his Hearts of Life and Death were exposed, not only would the old folks from the light faction be enticed, but the old monsters from the dark faction would also trace them like bloodthirsty sharks.

However, now he was aware of this. One must not reveal their wealth. The fact that he possessed Hearts of Life and Death could never be disclosed.

Xiao Zi directly plunged into the embroidered bag and pecked at the fragments of the Sky Heart, quickly devouring them all.

At this moment, Xiao Zi’s body grew by a circle, and its feathers became much brighter. However, after swallowing the fragment of the Sky Heart, it swiftly returned to Qi Bei’s collar and fell into a deep slumber.

Qi Bei didn’t particularly care about the fragment of the Sky Heart. He was now wealthy and looked down upon such a small item. At this moment, he noticed the awe-inspiring gaze of Han Misi and his group. He knew it was time to bid them farewell. He was no longer suitable to walk alongside them.

Qi Bei waved his hand, and the Flame Horse King galloped to his side.

“Return to your great grasslands.” Qi Bei patted the Flame Horse King’s head.

“Neigh…” The Flame Horse King nuzzled against Qi Bei’s chest, let out a long neigh, and dashed back the way they came.

Qi Bei didn’t say anything to Han Misi and the others because there was no need. With a single step, he instantly disappeared into the horizon.

“Chief, what should we do?” a tribal warrior asked Han Misi.

“Let’s go back. We’ll relocate the entire tribe. We’ve lost the treasure, and Lord Ling Xiao, the ruler of the Falling Sunset Kingdom, won’t let us off easily.” Han Misi said. They had originally set out to present the fragment of the Sky Heart to Ling Xiao in the Royal City.

…..

Heavenly Mountain Peak.

Yao Rao was meditating cross-legged.

Suddenly, the Great Bell of Heavenly Mountain at the peak rang out. The bell tolled three times, indicating a major event and summoning all the elders to gather in the Grand Hall.

Yao Rao opened her eyes. This was the first time she heard the Great Bell of Heavenly Mountain since becoming an elder. She quickly got up, left her meditation chamber, and flew towards the Grand Hall.

The Grand Hall of Heavenly Mountain Peak floated above the swirling clouds, imposing and majestic, resembling a divine palace. As for how the Grand Hall was able to float, no one knows the reason to this day. It is only rumored that after the war of the gods, it was built by a mysterious entity using divine magic.

After Yao Rao arrived at the Grand Hall, the other elders quickly gathered as well. After all eighteen elders had assembled, several figures shot into the hall.

One of them was the Mountain Lord of Heavenly Mountain, the Venerable Cloud Turner. He rarely appeared and was a water-elemental mage at the pinnacle of the Saint grade, deeply immersed in his cultivation, hoping to break through to the Saint-grade and become a divine-level powerhouse.

Accompanying the Venerable Cloud Turner were two individuals. One was a woman clad in holy armor, her entire body shrouded, making it impossible to see her face clearly. The other was a middle-aged man dressed in the robes of a Light Priest, wielding a Light Scepter and wearing a Light Diadem. Those who understood would recognize his attire as that of the Archbishop of the Light Temple.

The Light Temple had eight archbishops, and above the archbishops was the leader of all the priests and knights of the Light Temple, the Archbishop of Radiance.

“Let me introduce them. This is the Chief Judge of the Light Temple, Yan Shengyi, and this is the Archbishop of the Light Temple, Mark. The forces of the dark faction are rising again, infiltrating various countries and all levels of society. This time, we have come to Heavenly Mountain Peak, and we need the disciples of Heavenly Mountain Peak to come forward and suppress the forces of the dark faction,” the Venerable Cloud Turner spoke up.

“That’s right. The resurgence of the dark faction is strong this time. Our Light Temple has identified several places where remnants of darkness exist. We need manpower from the five Holy Lands to jointly suppress the resurgence of the dark faction,” said Archbishop Mark in a deep voice.

“How many people do we need?” one of the elders of Heavenly Mountain Peak asked.

“Five hundred,” Chief Judge Yan Shengyi answered.
