Reincarnated to Bonk in Another World

Chapter 145: Anger

On the border of four countries stood a single neutral town, not owned by any of the countries.

The town was called Riluhogl. The name was derived from the first two letters of each country, which were the Risourin Kingdom, the Lust Kingdom, the Holy Kingdom, and the Gluttony Kingdom.

Even though it wasn't under anyone's jurisdiction, the town was extremely prosperous and bustling with people.

But unlike other towns, most of the people in this town were adventurers. After all, this town was created to become the headquarter of the Adventurer Guild that spread to every kingdom.

This town oversaw the development of the Adventurer Guilds, including any major accidents. They had the authority to make sure no one threatened the guild as long as they remained neutral and didn't support any of the neighboring nations.

In the center of the city stood tall the biggest building in the city. This place was the Adventurer Guild's headquarters. With the guild situated between four countries, it allowed so many tasks to flow in.

This was the reason why many adventurers came to the city.

The people were searching for jobs, training, and even exchanging items for money.

However, this peace was broken with a loud shout coming from outside the city.

"Hessen. Come out!"

The adventurers were bewildered by this shout as no one dared to offend the Adventurer Guild because of their jurisdiction. Yet, there was a person that actually dared to call the name of the one who controlled all adventurers, the Guild Master of the Adventurer Guild Headquarter, Hessen.

"Who is this woman that actually calls the guild master's name?"

"Is she an important person? But she should be following the usual route instead of making an event here…"

"Who is she?"

Everyone was curious to see the woman who wasn't afraid of the Adventurer Guild. But when they came out of the guild and found the culprit, they were stunned by her beauty and entranced by her charm.

In just a minute, the area in front of the guild became peaceful.

Hessen, who heard this voice, left through the window to see what was going on.

The instant he found her, he immediately clenched his hands until it was strong enough to bleed his palms.

"Kh." Hessen gritted his teeth, barely resisting Lilith's charm. Even so, he still acted like a gentleman by pressing his chest with his hand and bowed. "Your Majesty Lilith. May I know for what reason for you to create this mess? Especially after you destroyed my branch in Seika Town."

Lilith looked at this guy, who looked like a human but had a pair of short pointed ears. He would look exactly like a human if not because of his pointed ears.

Hessen was a half-elf that was born from the union of an elf and a human. So, everyone could accept him being the guild master as he was considered a demon and a human at the same time.

Staring at his angry face, Lilith snorted and said, "I demand an explanation from you."

"What explanation? You were the one destroying my branch. I have every reason for getting angry."

"And do you know the reason I destroyed your branch?"

"I don't know. I've gotten the report from the guild master there that you destroyed the branch without giving any explanation. Even the succubus didn't answer any of his questions. They only told me that someone from the guild got into an argument with an adventurer… Are you trying to fight my Adventurer Guild for a single man?" Hessen frowned, wondering if the guild had done something wrong.

After all, this was the first time Lilith showed such anger.

When he heard those last three words, Lilith's anger rose to its peak.

"A single man, you say?" Lilith gritted her teeth and raised her hand. Suddenly, four magic circles appeared on top of her head. The first one was right above her. The second magic circle was diagonal to it and pointed at Hessen.

The other two were above the buildings as if forming a fireball that soon expanded, excreting a heat like that of a sun.

"Then, how about I kill you right now? You are just one man." Lilith's killing intent soon spread through the town as her red eyes glowed.

"What?!" Hessen dropped his jaw to the ground. If it was a fight, he surely wouldn't stand a chance against Lilith no matter how confident he was in his strength.

After all, Lilith kept excluding her charm, making it hard for him to move.

"What are you going to do, Lilith? Are you prepared to fight all Adventurers around the world for a single—!" Before he finished, he came to a realization and stopped.

He thought, 'Wait a minute… A single man… There's no way Lilith wants to pick a fight against the adventurers for a normal man.

'In other words, the only reason why she dares is that the man is far more important than the Adventurer Guild. Lilith is not afraid to have a war with the Risourin Kingdom and the Adventurer Guild at the same time because this man is much more important…

'Who is he? Is he her husband? But I believe every single Succubus Queen won't take a husband, not because they don't want it, but it's simply due to their overwhelming natural charm that prevents anyone from being able to act normally around them.

'Due to that, the succubus queen will only pick a man to get their seeds to give birth to the next generation succubus queen. Still, I haven't heard anything about this.

'So, is it not her husband? Then, who is this guy? Why would Lilith do all this for a single man? She should know that fighting against the Adventurer Guild when she's at war with the Risourin Kingdom is a very bad move because it increases the chance of her losing.

'No, it's because she knows this that she still comes to me. In other words, the benefit of having this guy is far bigger than fighting the Risourin Kingdom and the Adventurer Guild at the same time. In other words, this guy himself is similar to that of a national treasure.'

Hessen looked at Lilith and said, "Is he that important? If you don't mind, let's talk about this.. And please retract your spell."
