Reborn to be a God of Reading

Chapter 11

Chapter 11 - A Super Fast Reading Speed

Lachlan frowned slightly.

Cameron was showing a lot of hostility towards him.

Lachlan would not back down, so he asked, “Who are you?”

Cameron smiled confidently and said, “My name is Lachlan, and I am the chairman of the History Department of Ellsworth University. I was admitted into the department with the first place in the exam. I feel a little nostalgic when I think about it.”

Lachlan curled his lips and said, “I remember that the History Department of Ellsworth University is not very famous in the country. The threshold to enter is very low. Did you get 500 or 600 points?”

“580 points.” Cameron slightly raised his head, looking slightly arrogant.

Although the History Department of Ellsworth University was not very famous, it was one of the top five universities in the country.

He was full of superiority when he was admitted into Ellsworth University.

“You scared me to death. I thought you got 780 points.” Lachlan said in disdain.

Cameron, who had such a low score, dared to brag in front of him.

Juliette smiled quietly. “Senior Brother Snyder, you might not know this, but Lachlan scored the first place in the entire city with a score of 748 points in the six school joint examination. Lucille, the teacher of Ellsworth University, has sent him an invitation to be a graduate.”

“As long as Lachlan wants, he can pick any subject in the history department of Ellsworth University.”

Cameron's face was filled with disbelief.

He did not expect that Lachlan's results would be so outstanding.

However, he would not admit that he was worse than Lachlan. He snorted and said, “Who knows if it's true or not? You are my friend, so you can spout nonsense.”

At this time, a few exclamations sounded from beside Lachlan.

“You are Lachlan from Ellsworth High School? Hello, I am a teacher from Jing University. I wonder if you have time to chat with me? If Ellsworth University can give you a recommendation, our school can also do the same.”

“I am a teacher from Oak Hills University. Our school can also give you a recommendation. Do you have time to chat with me?”

“I am a teacher from a vocational school. Can we chat?”

“You are from a special school. Do you want to compete for the first place in the whole city?”

Seeing Lachlan's surprise, Julius explained, “This place is filled with the best teachers and students in the country. It's not surprising that they are here.”

Cameron looked at the crowd surrounding Lachlan. He was very jealous.

Most importantly, he felt that Lachlan's identity was fake. This made him lose face.

“Senior Brother Snyder, I wonder if Lachlan is qualified to organize the history books now?” Julius asked indifferently.

Cameron could already hear the displeasure in Julius's tone. He would not stop her, but he secretly hated Lachlan.

“Let me see what he can do. I will teach him a lesson later.”

Lachlan greeted them one by one, but he did not give anyone an accurate answer.

“Lachlan, let's start.”

Lachlan nodded and sat down to organize the books.

In fact, he was revising. However, as students, most of them did not have a high level of historical knowledge. He could not help but make mistakes.

He could not make mistakes in revising, but he could make mistakes in organizing. This was a buffer for them.

The history book that Lachlan had modified was called ‘Tang Dynasty's Family'. It recorded the story of the Tang Dynasty's King and his family.

This book had little historical significance, but it could prove many of the ancient records.

Lachlan had a perfect version of this book in his Library Ocean, and he had read it before.

It was not difficult for Lachlan to organize the information. With his ability to read a hundred lines at a glance, he could discover the mistakes and missing chapters with a single glance.

Ten minutes passed.

Juliette looked at Lachlan, who was still flipping through the pages. She was a little puzzled.

Everyone had a process of familiarizing themselves with books, but Lachlan had been reading for too long.

However, she was not very curious, so she did not ask.

Half an hour passed, and Lachlan was still flipping through the books.

Juliette could not help but ask, “Lachlan, are you still not familiar with the history books?”

Lachlan was stunned for a moment, then he smiled and said, “I'm just modifying the history books.”

“How is that possible? You are flipping through the pages one by one.”

Lachlan's reading speed was simply too fast. Julius did not believe that someone could read so fast.

Lachlan smiled and then flipped to another page. He glanced at it and said, “Juliet, there are thirteen wrong words and two missing paragraphs on this page.”

He flipped to another page and said, “There are twenty mistakes and no missing paragraphs on this page.”

Juliette's mouth slightly opened in surprise.

She could not help but grab Lachlan's history book and read it word by word.

In the end, she realized that Lachlan was completely correct.

“Lachlan.”

“My reading ability has reached the level of reading a hundred lines at a glance. If not for the fear of being too conspicuous, I would have finished editing this book in twenty minutes.”

Juliette's eyes widened in shock, and she was so shocked that she couldn't say a single word.

Reading a hundred lines at a glance!

This was too amazing.

After calming down, she said, “No wonder. I thought you were playing around!”

“I'll treasure the opportunity you gave me.”

Lachlan stared into Julius's eyes and said in a deep voice.

Juliette's face turned red. She lowered her head shyly, her heart beating wildly.

Was Lachlan expressing his love?

But we are only in high school. There won't be any results.

It was not that no one had confessed to Julius. On the contrary, anyone who confessed to Julius could form an independent group.

However, it was the first time that she felt embarrassed.

“What am I thinking about? Lachlan shouldn't be thinking so much!”

Cameron had been watching Lachlan's every move.

He saw Lachlan and Julius's interaction.

Cameron was very angry, but he couldn't do anything about it. He was a scholar, so he couldn't rush up and beat Lachlan up.

Suddenly, he had an idea.

Lachlan was the best in the city, so he wanted to make him lose his reputation.

Then, he secretly recorded the video of Lachlan flipping through the pages.

In his eyes, Lachlan was not editing, but just randomly drawing. Lachlan's speed of flipping through the pages was too fast.

“Look, Mr. Talbot is here.”

At this moment, an old man in a Tang suit slowly walked over.

His clothes were simple, and his every move revealed the scholarly air.

“Hello, Mr. Talbot!”

“Hello, Mr. Talbot!”

Almost all the scholars stood up and greeted him respectfully.

“Lachlan, he is Mandel Talbot. If you can get his favor and even become his disciple, even if Julius uses his connections, he won't be able to shake your position in the school.”

Lachlan nodded. Julius had once declared that he would remove Lachlan's name from the list of Ellsworth High School.

In fact, he didn't care about Julius' revenge at all.

He believed that with his results, any high school in Ellsworth would accept him.

However, he did not want Julius to succeed, nor did he want to let Julius down.

“He will give you the questions later. You must perform well.”

Lachlan smiled and said, “Okay!”

Under everyone's gaze, Mr. Talbot sat down. He looked around and said with a smile, “Everyone, don't be nervous. Sit down! Don't tell me you want me to look up to you?”

Everyone smiled. They did not expect the serious Mr. Talbot to joke around!
