NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 42: Rich System Rewards

The line of system alerts didn't stop there, as more had appeared in front of Bloom's eyes.

"System alert: Gored team has cleared a red evolution dungeon level five successfully. The time taken to clear the dungeon didn't exceed the lower limits of the dungeon. Special rewards will be sent to each player based on his or her performance. Assessments are final, and there is no way to ask for reevaluation."

"System alert: Player is part of Gored team. Killing two hundred level five evolved monsters, and seven level five normal monsters granted the player ninety thousand XP."

"System alert: Player is part of Gored team. Killing the mutated human monster Sherin level five granted player twenty thousand XP."

"System alert: Player is part of Gored team. Being the successful to clear a red evolved dungeon, and being the highest DPS player, the first in defense player among the team, you have these following rewards:

-Additional twenty thousand XP.

-One hundred Hp potions.

-Five basic Hp potions.

-Fifty Stm potions.

-One reviving token.

-One level five, red grade cape.

-One level five, red grade boots.

-One level five, red grade chest plate.

-Five hundred gold coins."

"System alert: Player is part of Gored team. Being the eighth to clear a dungeon in the game, and being the highest DPS player, the first in defense player among the team, you have these following rewards:

-Additional one hundred XP.

-Twenty Hp potions.

-Five Stm potions.

-Fifty gold coins."

"System alert: Player has risen one level."

"System alert: Player has risen one level."

"System alert: Player has risen one level."

Bloom glanced at all these alerts with a satisfying smile over his face. He didn't know at first why the system had given him a different reward for finishing the red evolved dungeon, but soon enough he understood why.

He had finished the eight dungeon in the game, gaining much less rewards from the first reward he had before. Considering the huge effort he and his team had done here, the rewards had to be added separately.

For him this wasn't something to worry about, all he needed was the rewards, and now he had a pile of it!

And he had risen three levels in one go, jumping from level five to level eight, and that was something worth celebrating, as leveling up from one level to another was never easy after reaching level five.

This dungeon, despite wasting hours in clearing it, had saved him days! That was a great deal for him. He imagined the faces of those developers, knowing they would be much frustrated by now. however he didn't do anything wrong, or broke any game laws, he won this fair and square with his efforts.

He threw the developers' page behind his back, and started to focus on the rewards he just had. The potions were the old usual ones, and new higher grade ones.

"Basic Hp potion: it restored one hundred Hp points directly, plus twenty Hp points per second for the next five seconds. Can't be used when other Hp potions are in effect."

Bloom examined the effects of this new potion, and he had to admit he needed more of these. The old, lower grade, Hp potions could only grant him eighty Hp in five seconds total, which was now considered impractical to him.

That was enough to restore half of his Hp, and with the new potion, he could restore two hundred Hp points in five seconds, very enough to refill his Hp tank!

In the previous fight, when one hit was enough to deplete more than half of his Hp, using the normal Hp potions wasn't really helpful. So, he felt glad he got these new ones, hoping he could have more in the future.

The next thing to examine was the token, it was a strange token, like a penny in size, dark bronze in color, engraved with minute writings, with nothing more.

"Reviving token: Player can revive once for free, without any punishment at all. Must be held in hand outside the inventory before death to be effective. Can't be dropped, can't be traded. One time use."

'This is an extra life then?' Bloom held this token in hand, as he might need it on many occasions in the future. Sadly, he could use it only for one time.

He put it away in his inventory, before taking out the gears he acquired as gifts. The eight rank didn't give him any gear at all, but he got three gears from clearing the dungeon.

He was first in DPS and defense, which made him acquire the best rewards in the two categories it seemed. He took out the three, putting them on the ground in front of him, while marveling their beauty.

"Sherin Cape: One of the Sherin set. Level zero cape, red grade. Requirements: level five and player Bloom. Str +one hundred percent. Vit +one hundred percent. Cloud of fog skill: In the middle of a movable skill, the course of the skill can be changed according to player's will for two times, with each time causing two hundred percent effect of the first skill. cooldown: ten seconds."

"Sherin Boots: One of the Sherin set. Level zero boots, red grade. Requirements: level five and player Bloom. Res +one hundred percent. Vit +one hundred percent. Shadow steps skill: Player can move for twenty seconds without causing any sound, or can be seen. If player was attacked or he attacked, the skill would be rendered ineffective. Speed increases by two folds during the effect of this skill. Cooldown: ten seconds after the end of the effect of the skill."

"Sherin chest plate: One of the Sherin set. Level zero chest plate, red grade. Requirements: level five and player Bloom. Phs +one hundred percent. Vit +one hundred percent. Fog storm skill: the chest plate emanates a soft shield of fog that can absorb up to one hundred percent equal to the player's defense value of damage in five seconds. Cooldown: ten seconds."

The three were part of Sherin's set, a set Bloom knew his team members must have acquired the rest of it. Sadly, each gear was bound to the player gaining the reward, so there was no way in trying to think of a way to collect the whole set.

Without any delay, he wore the three gears, which had a faint red luster over their surface.

"System alert: player has worn three gears of the same set. The effects of all set pieces are boosted by thirty percent."
