My Son Might Be A Villain

Chapter 59: Didn’t you say we are out of money that day? (1)

I should just change back into my uniform,” said Su Han. He didn’t like all the attention.

“No, just keep this on.” Su Ran stopped him, “We are going to have some fancy food in a bit!”

“Why do we have to eat out? We have already bought so much clothes… Don’t you still have the loan sharks to pay off?” Su Han reminded her.

Even though Su Ran had just come into a lot of money, Su Han still worried that with the speed that Su Ran could spend money, it’d be gone in no time.

All of a sudden, Su Han felt a lot of stress for having such an irresponsible parent.

“That’s totally two different things we are talking about here. We are buying new clothes because we are no longer living in poverty. Having a fancy meal is to celebrate my son being #1 in class on his mid-term examination!”

“You…” Su Han’s eyes widened as he looked at Su Ran. His face was filled with surprise.

He thought this woman wouldn’t care about such things, but to his surprise…

He finally turned away awkwardly when he felt that there was a discomfort in his eyes as if there was something there.

“It’s just an examination. It’s no big deal…” said Su Han.

“Does that mean you don’t want to celebrate?” asked Su Ran purposefully now that she had his little tsundere personality figured out.

“I didn’t say that…”

“Alright, then let’s go. I have already made a reservation.”

Su Ran had already made a reservation during the parent-teacher conference. Except that it was hot pot back then. Now that she had 40,000 yuan in her back account, she had switched it to a seafood meal.

***

Inside the seafood restaurant and looking at the handsome boy who was peeling a shrimp quietly, there were little stars in Su Ran’s eyes.

In her early years, when Su Ran was still in school and she was reading these fluffy novels recommended by her roommate, there were always these scenes where the male lead would peel shrimps for the female lead.

She may have said that it was childish, but there was still a little part of Su Ran that had fantasized about it before.

Unfortunately, from starting school to  graduation to when she became the musical prodigy, she had always been single and had never had the luck to experience that.

She’d never had guessed that the first time she experienced someone peeling shrimp in front of her would be with her instant son.

Aye…

Su Ran let out a long sigh.

Finally, after being stared at by Su Ran for 7 long minutes, Su Han couldn't help but look up.

“Why, why are you staring at me like that?” asked Su Han with an odd look.

On top of that, there were lamenting, disturbing, smiling, and all sorts of other emotions taking turns being displayed on her. It was kind of creepy.

“Nothing, I am just thinking what girl would be so lucky to marry my precious son in the future,” said Su Ran emotionally as she rested her chin on her hand.

The message she was sending: My son is the best. I will not have it any other way.

“I don’t know what you are talking about.” Su Han paused for a bit, then turned away awkwardly.

“It’s true. Look, my son is handsome, good at doing housework, and has good grades in school. Oh,  and,” said Su Ran before she paused, pointed at the little pile of peeled shrimp in front of Su Han, and added, “Especially filial. He’d even peel shrimp for me.”

Su Han: ……

Why was this woman talking so much nonsense today?

Su Han grumbled to himself, but he blushed for some inexplicable reasons.

“Who said I peeled them for you?”

“Did you not?”

“No!”

As he said that, Su Han pushed the plate of peeled shrimp forward a little bit in Su Ran’s direction and said coolly, “We will eat this together.”

Having said that, instead of picking up his chopsticks, Su Han pulled over another plate of spicy and numb shrimp and was about to start peeling again.

“Wait.” Su Ran stopped him.

Su Ran did not stop Su Han because she wanted to ask him to have some shrimp first before he kept on peeling.

Su Ran also liked to finish peeling everything first, let it be nuts or seafood, made it into a pile, then eat them all at once. Su Han was very much like her in this respect.
