My Son Might Be A Villain

Chapter 322: "It's very pretty." (1)

“I’d hate to trouble you.”

“Trouble?”

“Okay… please.”

Lu Shao smiled after he heard that. Lowering his head, Lu Shao carefully removed the slippers that Su Ran had changed into the second she returned to her room.

“Sssss–“

“I’m sorry.” Lu Shao’s body tensed after he heard Su Ran’s voice and felt that she had pulled her foot back a little.

“It’s alright. It’s alright,” said Su Ran quickly as she shook her head.

“That was just a reflex. I am fine. Carry on,” said Su Ran.

In her mind, however, she was thinking how Lu Shao had the foresight. If she was to do it herself, she would for certain not have the courage to stick the alcohol swab right over her wound.

Such a painful pleasure!

Disinfection, application of medicine, and finally putting the band-aid on.

Lu Shao’s motions were very slow through the entire process.

So slow that Su Ran had wanted to ask him to stop what he was doing.

Perhaps it was nothing but Su Ran, as someone who had been single her entire life, had never had this kind of contact with someone of the opposite gender before.

By the time Lu Shao was done, Su Ran had plunged into some sort of inexplicable nervousness.

“Um, thank you. You can let Su Han know that it was nothing serious.”

Even after noticing Su Ran’s nervousness, Lu Shao did not take off like a perfect gentleman this time.

“Su Ran.” Maintaining the same distance between the two of them, Lu Shao suddenly looked attentively at Su Ran.

“I am serious about this.”

“You––!” Looking at the man with the serious look, Su Ran’s heart paused a little and she couldn’t quite describe what she was feeling right now.

“I am serious. Let it be our future family, our relationship, and our upcoming marriage,” said Lu Shao, enunciating every word. His look serious and stubborn.

“And.” He paused a little then, looking at Su Ran attentively, said, “Toward you.”

For the first time ever, Lu Shao felt that he was nervous from just talking.

Su Ran, “!”

His words meant what she thought they meant, right?

Looking at the stupefied expression on Su Ran, Lu Shao’s lips curved upward. He chuckled and also felt a bit helpless at the same time.

“Do you think that I want to marry you and make you Mrs. Lu, make you become my wife, all that is for Su Han?” asked Lu Shao.

There was a hint of tenderness in his eyes when he said the word “wife” to Su Ran.

Was it not?

Having heard that, Su Ran’s look changed a little.

She didn’t say anything but her look had more than confirmed her thoughts.

“No.”

“Lu Shao?”

“Or, should I say, that isn’t all of it,” add Lu Shao as he saw Su Ran frowning.

“From my perspective, I will take up the responsibilities as a father now that I had found out about Su Han.

“But that’s not all of it.

“Before I learned that you are his mother, I had considered just taking Su Han into the Lu’s if his mother is an awful person.”

For the first time, Lu Shao told Su Ran his real thoughts at the time.

“What you are telling me is that Su Han and I are independent of each other?” asked Su Ran. That ought to be what Lu Shao was trying to say, right?

Except that……

Su Ran frowned a little.

Before Su Ran started talking, Lu Shao carried on, “What I am trying to say is that I did not ask you to become Mrs. Lu because of Su Han or that you are his mother.

“It was because.” Lu Shao looked at Su Ran passionately, his Adam's apple trembling a little, and he finally said, “I like you.”

Lu Shao knew that Su Ran was not sharp when it came to things like this. In fact, she was probably avoiding it subconsciously to a certain degree.

He had wanted to wait for Su Ran to slowly accept him for who he was. Not just the child’s father but him as her husband.

Suddenly, however, Lu Shao didn’t want to keep on waiting anymore.
