Heaven Destroyer

Chapter 75: Talent Crystal

As the darkness faded, the bursts of sunshine spread in all directions. Everyone gathered in the ground in which Ayaan was, it was the place where the heavenly palace would descend.

Though previously, Ayaan didn't realise, the ground was bigger than he expected. And a vast crowd of people was standing inside the ground. Those who didn't get a place, they could only stand far away.

And because their group was already inside the ground, they were standing in front of everyone along with a few more groups.

But Ayaan was able to see, there were a few new groups, standing along with them who didn't spend the night in this place. There was a group of people, wearing white clothes, giving an arrogant impression. In just a single glance, Ayaan was able to tell that these people were from a Life Temple.

Furthermore, no one dared to stand along with that group, everyone was afraid of offending them. He could tell that no one in that group was weaker than him.

However, the people from the Life Temple weren't the only one who was giving such an intimidating aura, there was one more group who had the same air as the group of the temple.

But those people didn't have pure and soothing energy like life energy like other groups. On the contrary, they had an evil aura covering them.

As Ayaan looked at them, Ayaan immediately felt something familiar. It was a death element! And those people were from the undead shrine. In the small countries, only higher-ups knew about the undead shrine, but here, many people knew that they were as powerful as a life temple. And both sides were enemies for many years.

At this moment, both sides were giving each other a hostile look. If it wasn't a special occasion, only God knows what this field would become.

Aside from these two groups, there was one more group, though not as powerful as those, it was still extremely powerful. Every single one of them was giving a savage aura. Ayaan was surprised because he didn't feel this kind of aura in any human. It was a kind of aura he would get from the magic beasts.

"Demon folks!" Rebecca, who was standing behind Ayaan, looked at the third group with her red eyes and gritted her teeth in fury.

Though Rebecca was herself a demon folk, her hatred runs deep for demons. It was demons who killed her parents. She still didn't know who was behind the murder of her parents and why?

Ayaan held her hand tightly and comforted the lady. Only then, she calmed down and smiled towards him.

Afterwards, Ayaan continued to search people in the crowd but didn't find more groups which could rival the other three.

Rumbel!

Suddenly, in the sky, a huge gate started to form. People had already left the space at the centre of the field for the heavenly palace's descending.

Eventually, Ayaan looked at the gate, curiously. No one was able to take their eyes off of that vast door which formed on the sky. On the entrance of the gate, two words were written, Heavenly Palace!

Ayaan looked at the words and felt as if something entered inside his consciousness. But his soul was considered quite powerful so it didn't affect. Afterwards, he looked at other people and found that they didn't seem to be affected by the soul power, which those two words released just a second ago.

Although he was confused about the situation, he didn't know where to get his answer. Afterwards, his eyes fixed on the golden door and shined with anticipation. All the area was pin-drop silence.

Gradually, stairs started to form. After the stairs completed, the door opened, and a middle-aged man walked out of the door. Ayaan looked at the man but couldn't tell the strength of the man. For him, the man was just like an ordinary guy, without any magic power, no magic power could be felt from his body. But Ayaan didn't dare to think that the man was an ordinary man.

Just as the man was about to land on the ground, a platform started to appear under his feet. A table appeared on the stage and a crystal ball was placed on the table. The ball was about the same size as a football, giving slightly white light continuously.

"This is the crystal ball which can determine your talent. Though nothing is absolute in this world and anything could change in the future, the reading of the crystal ball is almost perfect." the man paused before continuing, " Everyone who wants to participate must be twenty or lower. If anyone was more than twenty and he dared to come on the stage, I will personally punish him."

Then he continued, "Those who want to enter the heavenly palace can come and test their talent by the crystal ball. There are five types of levels of talent: Yellow, green, red, black and golden. In which, yellow being the lowest and golden being the highest."

"If anyone was able to make the crystal ball produce the golden light, I will take him to the central region with me if he wants. One more thing, those who want to enter the heavenly palace have to produce at least the green light or you won't be able to enter."

Hearing that they just needed to produce a green light to enter, many youngsters smiled confident as if it was nothing, but those who knew something about the test looked grim.

"Alright, everyone can come one by one, now. But remember not to cause an unnecessary ruckus, I don't like when someone disturbs my work." the man looked towards the audience. When Ayaan felt his gaze, he felt as if hundreds of vipers were crawling on his body. His body shivered suddenly and his back drenched in a cold sweat. He never felt something like this before.

It wasn't only him this time, everyone was shivering as if they had a horrible nightmare just now.

Gradually, that terrible feeling faded away, but now one dared to make a single noise. Finally, a disciple of the Life Temple walked towards the stage. After reaching the crystal ball, he looked at the people of the undead shrine provoking.

Previously, when Ayaan was observing the Life Temples people, he had seen this man because he was standing at the front. Ayaan thought he must be the leader of the group. He didn't find any old fogy of the temple, but he knew that they must be watching everything from the sideline.

After the man placed his hand on the white crystal ball, it started to change its colour, gradually. In just a second, the white turned yellow and yellow turned green. But after that, it became slow and took more than ten seconds to turn the green colour into red.

However, after reaching red, it didn't change the colour. The man who had an arrogant face just a minute before looked pale. He was confident that he could reach at the black level if not gold, but the reality hit his hard. Afterwards, he didn't dare to provoke people from the undead shrine. His face was as if he had swallowed a fly.

Everyone looked at the man and thought that he was just an ordinary man but those who had keen eyes were able to tell that the man had a high position. Because he was acting as a leader a moment ago.

In the group, no one dared to say anything, and everyone lowered their heads when the man went back. He looked at his comrades but didn't speak due to shame.

Nonetheless, as the man completed his test, another man entered the stage. He was the leader of the undead shrines group. He didn't even give a glance towards the people of the Life Temple and placed his hands on the ball.

Yellow, green, red and finally the ball turned black. But after turning black it didn't turn into golden colour. However, it was still a performance worth praising and only a few people had the chance to reach that level.

As the people of the temple looked cristal turning black, their expression as well turned dark. The undead shrine was their greatest enemy and today this defeat was like a slap on their faces. They felt humiliated.

As the disciple from the Life Temple walked towards the stage, someone else was faster and dashed on the stage and looked at the crystal ball in excitement.

Ayaan looked at the boy and was surprised because he knew who he was — he was the same boy who was selling tents yesterday. People almost couldn't believe that someone like this boy wanted to test his talent.

However, people couldn't say anything in front of the man from the heavenly palace, because there was no restriction about who could participate and who couldn't. If you are less than twenty than you're qualified.

Ayaan looked at the boy curiously. He had talked with the boy yesterday when he went to buy the tents from him and he knew the boy's name was Luke.
