Chapter 70  Arrival at the BayArena

**20th February 2020**

*8:13 am*

Jason drove into the parking lot at the CTFD Portogaia training center and carefully drove into one of the available parking spots before turning off the car's engine.

Grabbing his sports bag in the passenger's seat, he pushed the button to open his door before coming down and closing the door.

He quickly made his way toward the team's locker room while throwing his car keys into his sports bag.

In the end, despite waiting for Mylo to get back the day before until almost 11 pm, Jason had decided to go to sleep as keeping himself awake any further would not allow him to get enough rest, especially since there was a game the next day and he was part of the team's lineup.

When he woke up this morning though, he found his car keys lying around on the kitchen table as well as some articles of clothing lying around randomly, some of which were feminine.

It didn't take him much to realize what had happened and despite not being happy about it, he was not going to barge into Mylo's room where who knows what horrors his eyes might come across.

Jason had noticed that there seemed to be more than one female bra lying around and it didn't take a genius to know that a woman wouldn't normally wear more than one bra so it was likely that Mylo had had a very exciting night with more than one woman.

Jason wasn't a pervert who wanted to see that so he definitely wasn't going to be barging into Mylo's room unannounced.

Unfortunately, due to his schedule, he couldn't afford to wait around until Mylo came out, so he just decided to focus on his own things and deal with Mylo when he got back from the match against Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.

Of course, Jason wasn't going to let his car once again experience the horror of carrying more than two passengers ever again so he drove his car to the training center even though he didn't need to and it would have been more convenient to have left it back at the apartment.

Jason could also have just taken the keys, but it would be kind of weird to just take the keys while leaving the car behind, so…

Putting that behind him, Jason walked into the team's locker room where a few other members of the squad for the match had already arrived and were changing into a suit.

Quickly having a few handshakes and greeting his teammates, Jason moved to his own locker and found a suit hanging on the locker coupled with a pair of black dress shoes, already prepared by the team's logistics department.

He didn't waste any time in dressing up and, before focusing his efforts on making sure that everything he would need for the trip and the match were in place.

Doing that didn't take much time, so a couple of minutes later, Jason was sitting with his back to the locker and his headphones on while waiting for time to pass.

Luckily, he didn't have to wait long, and by the time it was 8:40 am, every member of the matchday squad was present, even the head manager, his assistants, and the other technical staff had arrived.

Seeing that everyone had arrived, the head manager ordered for everyone to get on the bus as there was no point in waiting around.

The bus soon headed for the Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport where they would then fly from Porto to Leverkusen, Germany with the aid of the team's private jet.

Thus the team arrived at the Porto airport without much fanfare and quickly boarded the team's private jet.

Thirty minutes later, they were already in the air and on their way to Leverkusen, Germany.

The flight from the Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport in Porto to Leverkusen, Germany took, two hours and fifteen minutes before they touched down at the Cologne Bonn Airport stadium in Cologne at 12:19 pm.

After coming down from the plane, they were picked up by a bus that had been chartered by the team which took them to Lindner Hotel Leverkusen Bayarena where they would have lunch and rest for a few hours.

They would also be staying over at the hotel after the game as they couldn't head back to Porto immediately after the game since the game would be starting at 8:00 pm and would not be over until at least about 10:00 pm.

After a hearty lunch that was filled with tasty but healthy German dishes, the players were given time to rest until 4:00 pm after which they would be headed to the BayArena to get some pre-match training done and to settle everything that needed to be done before the match.

Jason was to share a room with Otavio and as such, they both headed to their room while conversing along the way, but both of them seemed to understand that they needed to rest if they were to be in tip-top shape for the upcoming match, so after settling in, they both went to sleep after setting an alarm for 3:50 pm.

By the time the alarm rang to wake them up, they quickly shook off their drowsiness before grabbing their sports bags and moving out of the room together.

Their movements were so in sync that it was strange, but they laughed it off after noticing it on the way out of the hotel.

The bus headed to the BayArena immediately after and arrived twenty-five minutes after their departure from the hotel.

The players quickly disembarked while waving to the traveling Porto fans who were at the entrance to welcome the players.

Unfortunately, they were running short of time, so they didn't have any extra time to spend interacting with the fans like in the last match, so they quickly headed inside the BayArena.

Sergio Conceicao called for Pepe on the way and they separated from the other players as they had to attend the pre-match conference.

This arrangement did not hinder the players' movement as they were already used to it. They just followed the guide that led them to their allocated locker room.

On reaching the locker room, they didn't waste any time changing out of their suits and into their training kits before marching out of the locker room with the assistant coaches and other technical staff in the lead.
