Chapter 6: We acted in self-defense

Chapter 6

"Ah..." A scream was heard as a man in black dropped his sword, painfully covering his eyes.

Seeing this, Su Mo's whip lashed out, coordinating with Sang Li to knock down three men in a few strokes.

She had never killed anyone before, so she went over and twisted the men's arms.

At this time, Sang Li was exposed, and one of the men in black noticed her and leapt over to kill her.

Sang Li was startled and got up to run away.

Su Mo immediately threw one of her daggers at the man in black, stabbing him in the back. The man cried out and fell from the air.

Soon, all of the men were lying on the ground except for the one who had grabbed Su Mo's neck, who was merely injured.

Wu Ying had killed all the men who fought against him. However, he was also severely injured himself, with the wound on his abdomen splitting open, bleeding profusely.

His figure swayed as he leaned on his sword, dropping to one knee on the ground and spitting out a mouthful of blood.

The man in black's eyes seemed to be filled with venom as he thrust his sword towards Wu Ying.

"Be careful!" Su Mo ran over, spinning and kicking the man in the chest, forcing him back a few steps.

"You know martial arts?!" The man in black looked at Su Mo, his eyes cold.

"I thought you guys were supposed to be amazing, but turns out you're nothing special!" Su Mo put her hands on her hips, not about to lose in aura!

Seeing Wu Ying, the man in black knew he wouldn't succeed in killing him today, so he immediately fled.

Seeing the man leave, Su Mo finally breathed a sigh of relief.

She ran over to help support Wu Ying. "How are you?"

At this time, Sang Li also ran out from the bushes.

"Su Mo, you're not hurt, right?"

"I'm fine..."

Wu Ying tried to get up leaning on his sword. Su Mo immediately went to help support him.

But sensing her bare, slender arm, Wu Ying imperceptibly tried to pull his arm away.

Feeling Wu Ying's desire to get away from her, Su Mo stubbornly grabbed his arm.

"Handsome, I already said you're injured so don't be shy!"

Wu Ying ignored her and covered his wound, walking over to the men whose arms were twisted by Su Mo.

"Wu Ying...spare us..." Seeing him approach, the men immediately begged for mercy.

Wu Ying did not speak.

His sword rose and fell, slitting the necks of the men, blood spurting everywhere.

Although shocked inwardly, neither Su Mo nor Sang Li acted like saints trying to stop Wu Ying. After all, it was his business and they didn't know what had happened to him.

Su Mo looked towards the man she had stabbed with her dagger. She went over, pulled down his black mask, and checked his breathing, discovering that he had actually died!

Su Mo was startled.

How could he be dead just like that???

Su Mo turned him over and found that her dagger had pierced his heart from behind.

No way? She killed someone?

When trying to save Sang Li, she had randomly thrown it without expecting to hit the heart by sheer coincidence!

"What's wrong, Su Mo?" Sang Li walked over, seeing her looking devastated.

"Sang Li... I killed someone..." Su Mo pouted, "Will I get executed?"

Sang Li knocked her head. "What are you thinking? This isn't modern times! Besides, even if he didn't die, that man over there would have killed him anyway!"

"Oh right...we were acting in self-defense!" Su Mo breathed a sigh of relief.

She immediately pulled out the dagger, wiping off the blood on the grass before retracting the blade.

"Let's go back to the temple first and leave at dawn."

The two women turned to look at Wu Ying but discovered that he had already fainted.

They immediately ran over.

"Hey!" Su Mo pushed him but her hand happened to touch his blood-soaked clothes near his wound.

"Oh my...why did he lose so much blood?"

"He's lost too much blood. We need to stop the bleeding immediately!" Sang Li said.

Su Mo took out her phone and turned on the flashlight, shining it on Wu Ying's abdomen where there was a large gash that was still bleeding.

"He should have medicine to stop bleeding on him. He probably used it himself earlier at the temple."

"Is that so?" Without thinking further, Su Mo rummaged through his clothes and indeed found two bottles of medicinal powder in his arms.

Su Mo picked up the bottles and frowned. "It doesn't say what medicine this is. Which bottle stops bleeding?"

Sang Li took them and looked them over. One bottle was white and the other pink, but neither had any words.

She opened them and smelled them. "I don't know either. If Xiao Han was here she'd definitely know."

"Nevermind, let's just use both!"

Su Mo poured out half of each medicinal powder onto Wu Ying's wound. After a short while, the bleeding indeed stopped.

Su Mo looked at the man. He wore a half mask, covering the upper half of his face, leaving his eyes exposed.

With eyes closed, he had thick, long lashes. His nose bridge also seemed high. His thin lips were stained with blood, adding a touch of beauty.

Just looking at half his face, Su Mo felt he must be very handsome and became curious what he looked like.

Thinking this, she reached out to remove his mask.

Seeing this, Sang Li grabbed her hand. "Su Mo, since he wears a mask, it means he doesn't want people knowing what he looks like. If you see his face, it may bring trouble!"

"He's passed out now so he won't know I saw him!" Su Mo grinned at Sang Li, "Heaven knows, earth knows, you know, I know!"

Sang Li helplessly released her hand, letting Su Mo do as she wished.

Su Mo removed Wu Ying's mask.

Expecting to see a breathtakingly handsome man, she was disappointed. The area around Wu Ying's right cheekbone was covered in intertwined purplish bruises, as if poisoned.

Su Mo and Sang Li were taken aback, not expecting such a contrast.

"What a pity, he has such good-looking features but is disfigured..." Su Mo lamented.

She then promptly put his mask back on.

"Let's go back to the temple first, Su Mo. It's too cold here." Sang Li rubbed her goosebump-covered arms.

"We can't just leave him alone here..." Su Mo wondered how to move Wu Ying. Carrying him on her back might hurt his wound.

That left only one way...

Having decided, Su Mo directly picked him up in her arms princess-style.

Sang Li watched in disbelief as Su Mo easily lifted the sturdy, tall man.

"Su Mo, you've shattered my perception of you again!" Sang Li gave her a big thumbs up.
