You are the Pearl, Mo Mengchen

Chapter 1 - I want to play basketball

“What? Do you want to resign?”

A young man and a middle-aged man are sitting in an office.

This office looks the same as usual, some documents, a big sofa, a TV and a desk, no decoration.

Just look at this office, no one would think that this is the office of the dean of the Mayo Medical Center.

Minnesota, the headquarters of the Mayo Medical Center, this is the mecca of the medical community, all doctors fascinated.

Seth Michaels looked at the young man in front of him in surprise. He didn’t know why the other party resigned.

Was it dug? Impossible, the Mayo Center is the best hospital in the world, and this young man is the youngest and most gifted surgeon in the history of the Mayo Center. The hospital gives him the highest salary in history, he can choose patients at will, at will Instructing colleagues, as long as they accumulate a few more years of experience, the future will never be just breaking wrists in the operating room with Death.

   “Mo, are you serious?”

  Michaels sullenly asked seriously.

If it is someone else, Michaels may not hesitate, he agreed to his request on the spot.

Each year, elites from major medical schools sign up for the Mayo Center, and only one hundred of them have been invited for internships, and ultimately no more than ten people remain.

None of them are the most potential doctors.

The Mayo Center is not short of good doctors. It’s no big deal to go one or two.

But the person in front of Michaels is different.

We have all heard the story of prodigy. Some people are 22 years old after graduating from university, and some are doctors when they are 14 years old.

This young man is just such a genius.

He was originally a famous basketball player in the United States. He was destroyed by successive disasters. In his only time, he completed the homework of the university, obtained a degree at a terrible speed, and entered the Mayo Center under the recommendation of many authoritative experts. After a year of internship, in an operation where the surgeon made a mistake and almost caused the patient to die on the operating table, he took over the surgeon’s scalpel and saved the patient in a way that no one else could imagine.

So far, he is famous all over the United States, and passed the assessment a few months later, became a surgeon at the Mayo Center.

In the past year, he had performed nearly one hundred surgeries without fail.

He is the kind of person who sincerely feels that “he will change this era”.

And now, this young man, only 22 years old, has to leave the best hospital in the world.

“I was serious.”

   said the young man.

“Mo, I want to know why.” Michaels said.

The young man smiled, it was that kind of helpless smile, he had already prepared to speak, but it was still a bit embarrassing to say it now.

However, how can such a classic line be hidden?

   “I want to play basketball.”

   said the young man.

Michaels breathed hard. He thought about a lot of possibilities-he may think that the salary is too low, or that the job is too busy, or other hospitals provide treatment that cannot be refused…

Michaels could never imagine that this young man had to give up his career for basketball.

No, basketball was his initial career, but that was already over.

“Mo, your two knees underwent three ACL tears. You even encountered one two years ago…Do you know what this means?”

“Basketball is a thing of the past for you, Mo, you are the most talented doctor I have ever seen. You have no future, it is time to let go!” Michaels said.

“Do you want a glass of water?”

   asked the young man.

   “Are you thirsty?”

The young man got up and poured a glass of warm water: “When I was very young, I knew what I was going to do.”

“My father used to hold a basketball and a toy scalpel in front of me. I chose basketball without hesitation.”

“Injuries have crushed me, but it did not kill my soul, I think now, I want to play basketball.”

Michaels said: “But your knee is very fragile, you don’t even know when it will be traumatized because it can’t withstand the impact of violent exercise, Mo, you should know that if your knee is injured again, you will face what.”

“Spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair, I know.”

“Seth, have you thought about it?”

The young man asked Michaels; “If I am willing to take such a big risk and give up the ambitious future to pursue an illusory dream, how much determination do I have and how much do I like basketball?”

   “My heart is set, Seth.”

At this moment, Michaels was very weak. He hoped that he would have the ability to control the heart, so that he could change the mind of this genius.

He is very clear about the consequences of this decision.

“Mo, your resignation application, I will not reply for the time being, I will give you three days, you go back and think about it again.” Michaels said.

The young man came to the door and said, “Seth, thank you for taking care of me in the past two years.”

Finally, he walked out of this mediocre office.

Michaels stared at the resignation letter on the table. UU reading books www.uukanshu.com

He has seen these four words many times. It is not uncommon for doctors at the Mayo Center to switch to other hospitals. Some good doctors can’t see the rising signs, so they have to think about themselves.

They are just ordinary doctors in the Mayo Center, while in other hospitals, they may be chief doctors who are highly regarded by the hospital’s top management.

They will get the best treatment and the most honorable honor, few people will refuse this temptation.

Therefore, Michaels often sees these three words.

  Resignation letter.

   Payment: MoMengchen.

  ……

Mo Mengchen walked out of the dean’s office and went to the restroom nearby.

“Mo, have you handed the letter to Seth?”

There was a man out of the bathroom. He knew Mo Mengchen, and he seemed to be an extremely young doctor.

“as you wish.”

Mo Mengchen continued to wash his hands. He had washed back and forth five times, as if his hands were covered with dirt.

“I’m not happy if you say that, man, I really hope you stay.”

“If I stay, the world will never know that there is a good doctor named Kea Simas at the Mayo Center.”

Simas asked: “Do you really not want to be a doctor?”

“I want to play basketball more.” Mo Mengchen answered him.

“Pity,”

Simas sighed: “Since then, a good doctor who has a headache for death has been lost in the world, and there has been a busy basketball player.”

   “Hum, let’s see!”

Mo Mengchen washed his hands back and forth ten times, threw out this sentence, and turned away from the bathroom.
