NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 30: The Brilliant Performance of Bloom Saves the Day!

This time he used his one skill that could make the difference. This was the first time he used it, but he knew this skill well from the berserkers in his previous game.

The moment he used it, while pointing his sword towards the monster heading to touch the first rock, his body moved on its own, with extreme speed, creating great momentum, to crush into the monster's body with his sword.

"350"

This damage appeared on top of the monster's head, but this wasn't what he was seeking. The skill had an additional effect, stun effect! The monster froze in his place, with its sharp claw a few inches away from the rock.

"I did it!"

He screamed in delight in this moment, where the rocks on the ground and on the ceiling started to shine brightly, however the situation wasn't looking well for him.

"Watch out!" Peri's shout came to awaken him, as he was taken slightly overboard by the moment. He didn't need to turn back, as he used his life saving skill at this delicate moment!

"Ground breaker."

His sword vanished, to reappear behind him, crossing with the claw of the monster attacking him. his body started to rotate, but his eyes were fixed on the rocks around him.

The moment they shone was followed by the shining of the whole rune of the ground. He knew the next second the rune would be activated, so by any means he had to survive this!

Amidst his rotation, he noticed the monsters weren't organized at all, as they were heading in disarray towards the tunnel, then his sudden intrusion messed their formation even more. Amidst this chaotic battle, he finally glimpsed a silver lining of hope!

"Dash!"

He didn't hesitate to use the skill of his second sword, even before his body fully rotated, or stabilized! He felt his body being driven by extreme force, moving to the front, in this linear gap he just spotted, towards the far rear monster.

"-75"

"280"

"420"

Three numbers appeared in this mere second, while the monster he just clashed with was stunned. Bloom didn't wait in his place, as he never intended to face all of them, alone, like that!

"Slice!"

His third life saving skill was used, making him rotate around the monster, while another figure of damage appeared on top of its head full of dirty looking hair!

"280"

He was lucky so each skill he used had produced a crit! Once he was finally behind the monster, he didn't look back, as he darted fast towards the opening of the tunnel, where his teammates were there trying to head towards the monsters to help him.

"Retreat and reorganize, now!"

His shout just came in time, making them turn around and run alongside him.

"What a magnificent move you pulled there!" Peri said, in honest admiration to him, while she was running alongside him.

He felt great pleasure in her admiration, but before he could say anything back, a loud roar erupted from behind, making them all stop and look back.

At the end of the tunnel, the monsters were all still there where a light suddenly was shining inside, a black light. Bloom could see rows of damage appearing on top of their heads, and without knowing what was going on, he ran again towards the hall while shouting to others:

"Go, let's kill them in this moment, use all your skills, save none!"

Others just glanced at each other, weirdly, before they moved back, running behind him, reaching the hall in less than three seconds.

The whole hall was now covered in a dim black fog, where monsters were roaring, standing motionless in their places, with numbers of damages constantly floating on top of their heads.

"600"

"560"

These two numbers kept rising above their heads, covered in dirty hairs. Bloom didn't have time to consider, as all he knew these monsters were now stunned, unable to move.

"Start attacking them, they are all stunned! Make sure to kill the most number of them. Stab! Slice! Stab! Stab! Stab! Ground breaker! Stab! Stab! Stab! Slice! Dash! Dash!"

He yelled at them while he started his own barrage of attacks. His two swords never ceased a moment in their places, moving all the time to stab and attack monster after monster.

Suddenly all the numbers rising from the top of the monsters were all high. Each monster didn't take four attacks before losing its life on his hand. Each two seconds he killed a monster. He wasn't the only one producing this monstrous damages, as others kept doing good, but not like him of course.

'So this rune takes the highest two attacks and doubles them, causing fixed damage per second to these monsters equal to an AOE skill!' he muttered to himself while another monster fell under his hands, 'It also doubles our own attacks, and all of our attacks become crits! That's amazing!!'

He kept moving between monsters, jumping from one to another, using his movable skills to their most potential. Monsters didn't last for four attacks on his swords, while others needed six. In twenty seconds, all the monsters fell on the ground, and that black fog started to dissipate, returning again into the rocks.

"We did it! We killed them!" the team all screamed in excitation, before they celebrated and congratulated each other. All were excited except San, who felt this was all his fault, as Bloom put himself in danger because he just had cold feet for a second there.

Bloom just glanced at him and didn't say a word. He knew some people might have greatness and others not. If San couldn't pull himself together and level up his skills and personality, he would be forced to replace him.

Bloom wasn't a mere player, he was once on top of his game, so he wouldn't settle with losers. If any player here couldn't match up with him, then he wouldn't hesitate to replace him, as the strength of oneself came from the strength of those around him, partly of course.

"Now let's start collecting materials, hurry," he suddenly said, interrupting their cheers and celebrations. They all watched him hurry to collect materials, exchanged glances before starting to do the same.

Bloom never did a thing without reason, never.

Before anyone could ask him about it, and in less than two minutes, all the monsters here shone brightly before vanishing, before they collected enough materials from their bodies.

"What happened? why did they vanish?" Peri asked at once, with shock over her face, and regret.

Bloom, who managed to collect ten materials from the body of his monster before vanishing, said:

"These are special monsters, so regular rules didn't apply on them. in two minutes after they are killed, their bodies will vanish. So, next time let's start collecting their materials, after all these materials are quite special ones."
