My Son Might Be A Villain

Chapter 44: Selling Her Music (2)

Outside of the bedroom and watching the room door that was shut in front of her, Su Ran was completely baffled.

What was wrong with him now?

Were all children so difficult during their rebellious phase?

Resigned, Su Ran shouted out from outside of the room. “Don’t forget to eat!” Before she put her shoes on and left the house.

After she had walked outside, she took a taxi to Shengding Entertainment.

She thought she’d have to ask around, but the person she needed to meet was already waiting in the office lobby for her.

“You must be Ms. Su.”

“Yes, I am.”

“Hi, Ms. Su, I was the one who called you earlier. Our director is waiting for you upstairs. This way please,” said the little assistant. She had only contacted this Ms. Su per the request of the director. She had no idea what it was all about.

She did, however, have an inkling that this lady was here to sign some sort of a contract.

“Thank you.”

Su Ran was taken up to the office of the Director of Operations. She saw a woman in her forties sitting inside.

When Su Ran looked at the woman, the woman had also seen Su Ran who was walking inside of her office.

“You are the sender of the email?!” Truth be told, Director Zhou was fairly surprised when he saw Su Ran.

After their Technology Department had confirmed the identity of the sender of the email, Director Zhou had looked a little bit into Su Ran.

She was a 28 year old single female who has demonstrated an extreme talent in music.

Director Zhou had already formulated an idea of what kind of a person Su Ran was and how to communicate with her.

Director Zhou had not expected Su Ran to be so pretty in person.

Too pretty.

As a director of one of the moguls in entertainment, she could definitely say that with Su Ran’s look, she could totally be an actress instead. She was prettier than 90% of their actresses on contract.

“Hi, yes, I am Su Ran.”

“Ahem, hi, Ms. Su. I am the Director of Operations of Shengding Entertainment. My surname is Zhou,” said Director Zhou after she had recollected herself.

“The purpose of me inviting you over today, Ms. Su, is to discuss with you the music that you have submitted to Shengding Entertainment. Please, have a seat.”

Su Ran took a seat and Director Zhou produced a document.

“Well, we have received the audio files that you have submitted through our mailbox and have passed them onto our instructors in the Music Department for them to take a listen. The feedback that we received was that the music that you have provided to us are quite decent,” said Director Zhou.

It was way more than “quite decent”, everybody over at the Music Department were singing their praises about those ten songs!

Granted, Director Zhou would never share that with Su Ran.

She was also not going to mention a word about the Lin XiaoXiao incident.

That was a scandal about poor management in her own department; there was no need to share any of those with Su Ran.

Besides, per Manager Chen, Lin XiaoXiao was someone they needed to keep. There was no reason to escalate the incident.

“Okay, then, how would you like to purchase those 10 songs?” asked Su Ran directly. She didn’t plan to waste too much time on mindless chitchat. She had sold many songs in her previous life. She was very familiar with this process.

“Um… Well, it’s like this. The songs that you have provided are quite good and we plan to purchase all of them. But we will need you to provide the completed version first. We will then purchase them at 2,000 yuan each.

“In addition, as we are purchasing the full rights, you will need to guarantee that these are originals created by you, or that you have the authorization from the original creator.”

Even Director Zhou had a hard time maintaining her composure as she said those words.
