I Have Become A Demon God. Did You Just Ask Me To Be A Minor Villain?

Chapter 47: Everything is under control! Goddess of God!

“It shouldn’t be a major problem. If the Crescent Goddess detected anything unusual, it would be impossible for just one angel to descend,” remarked Miles, calming down the other villains in the group.

After gauging the angel’s approximate strength inside the Miles family’s sanctuary, they didn’t worry excessively. However, now they were on the brink of collapse, so they had to proceed. Even if the Crescent Goddess sensed something abnormal, they would have to carry on with the blood sacrifice and open the portal for the Demon God to descend.

……..

“I’ll go. Is that an angel?” exclaimed someone, presumably eager to confront the newcomer.

“Wow, this aura is incredibly potent. Its mere presence is enough to leave the audience in awe. If God were to descend in person, it would be a similar experience,” remarked another, marvelling at the angel’s power.

“This angel’s legs are so long… I can’t help but desire to become a God and acquire some angels for myself,” sneered a third, perhaps harbouring malicious intentions.

“….”

The angel’s arrival brought the protagonists back to life, and many ordinary people began to worship her. As she descended from the sky, the holy light disappeared. The angel was adorned in white armour from head to toe, with a helmet concealing her face, making it impossible to discern her appearance. However, her elegant figure and long legs hinted at her female identity.

Upon landing, the angel didn’t stumble, but with a subtle movement of her right hand, a soft light enveloped her, forming the shape of a crescent moon. This moon-shaped light hung in mid-air, and its radiance was so intense that it obscured the rising sun’s light.

At that moment, for the millions of people gathered in the square, the sun ceased to exist as the moon’s light illuminated the entire world.

“Little angel…” Su Mo muttered under his breath, glancing at the angel in the sky before averting his gaze. The fact that the Goddess of the Crescent Moon had dispatched an angel to the square didn’t surprise him. It was exactly what he had anticipated.

If the Spike Demon God suddenly appeared, the current strength of the Crescent King’s Capital wouldn’t be sufficient to stop it. Even if they managed to subdue it, the Spike Demon God still possessed the power of a false God. Su Mo knew this and pondered, “Three demigod-level powers should suffice to block it.”

There was a demigod hiding in the Crescent King’s Capital, and the Queen of the Crescent had attained demigod status after receiving the power of the Goddess. In addition, this little angel should be more than enough to prevent the Spike Demon God from breaking free. All of this had been part of Su Mo’s plan, which he now had under control.

………

Shortly after the angel arrived, another long bell rang, signalling the start of the blessing ceremony. In the sky, streaks of white holy light began to fall, enveloping everyone on the high platform. The formal blessing lasted only an hour, but the preparation beforehand took quite some time.

The Goddess’ blessing was not a direct indoctrination but rather a silent way to bless devout believers, strengthening their bodies, enhancing their physical vitality, or extending their lifespan. For some knights, it could even increase their strength, allowing them to break their limitations.

Such a blessing ceremony required considerable money, but the rewards were also significant. After each wave of the ceremony, the devotion of believers throughout the kingdom would rise to a higher level, and the Crescent Goddess would gain more faith.

……..

A pure white, holy light enveloped him, and Su Mo immediately felt a warm sensation wash over his body. He could sense a surge of energy infused with a divine aura flowing into him. The energy was incredibly pristine, and Su Mo recognised it as the diluted form of divine power, which explained its potent effects.

As this energy nourished him, every cell in his body seemed to benefit. Su Mo pondered that the gods in the heavens largely obtained their power from all beings, so returning the energy could nourish all things.

Feeling the blessings of the Crescent Goddess, Su Mo decided to channel a portion of the energy into his concealed succubus bloodline. He refrained from doing so last time since the Crescent Goddess had been wholly focused on him. With so many people around now, Su Mo had to be more cautious, but he felt confident there would be no issues.

…….

Suddenly, a bright and luminous holy light appeared in the sky, beginning to descend slowly. The size of the holy light indicated whom the goddess bestowed her favour. Upon witnessing this, everyone grew curious and eager to know who was lucky to receive the goddess’s blessings this time.

To their amazement, the holy light shone down upon Su Mo, enveloping him in its radiance. The onlookers were stunned and envious of Su Mo’s good fortune.
