I Bit Everyone and Became the Strongest Zombie Cultivator

Chapter 228: Breaking the Fourth Wall

A Question... Why is this moving so fast? In a lot of novels I've read in the past, their adventures as a cultivator would more or less be a long one, wherein they would stay at a certain location for a long time before they could actually achieve a breakthrough and move on with their life. And when they get to teh next stage in their adventure, they'd be strong enough or overpowered enough to the point that no one would be able to beat them if they use their full power.

Then there's me, I haven't even fully adjusted to the Middle Plane, and then I was introduced to the Sky Kingdom. As if that wasn't enough, all of them were at least three or four realms higher than mine. I learned everything about my ancestors and my parents, and the family feud between my Tang Clan and the Yan Clan, and then these Sky Kingdom people shoved the kingship up my butt. And now, you're telling me that I need to deal with these Black Spirit Sect guys and go with them?! What in the world?! Author, if anyone's writing my life as a novel right now, please make me relax a little bit! Please!

<Notice: Your Virus Qi Core Cultivation Level rose to the First Stage of the Heavenly Path Realm>

I could feel every blood vessel in my body about to pop as my Qi Energy rushed through my body. By now, I could finally keep up with the two of them, well, barely... but that's more than enough for me.

I ran up in front of the two of them as fast as I could and since I was using the Time Stretch Skill, they were too late to realize that I was already in front of them. Their eyes widened as they swung their weapons at each other. As for me, I activated a Qi Energy Shield which utilized my Virus Qi Energy... and now that my Virus Qi Core is on the Heavenly Path Realm, my Virus Qi Energy was multiplied, making my shield impenetrable.

Strike!

Like metals clanging at each other, the two of their attacks didn't meet each other. Instead, their attacks squarely hit the shield I put up, leaving them baffled to their core.

"H-how?" Yan Sun stammered, staring at me as if I were some sort of monster.

"Please, respectable Yan Sun, give these people mercy. I owe them my life." I said as politely as I could.

I immediately withdrew my hand from Yan Sun and Sir Conrad, meekly backing away as if I overstepped my boundaries. Well, it's undeniably true that I overstepped my boundaries, however.

"How could you... " Yan Sun stammered in awe, staring at me from head to toe,

"Young master, our portal is about to close soon, we should probably get going." The old man bowed down, addressing Yan Sun with great respect. And here I was, thinking that he was Yan Sun's grandfather or something like that.

"Oh, yes. How about it, Middle Plane Dweller? I was holding back but you still managed to catch my attack. You really are unique." Yan Sun forced a smile on his face. It was obvious that he unleashed his full strength back there.

And as for me, I almost exceeded my limit and reverted back to being a rabid human. I should be careful. This shouldn't happen again, especially since I'll be far weaker than the ones up there.

"It will be my pleasure," I said, suppressing my anger at the sole cause of this outbreak. "Looking forward to working with you."

The Flying Meatpiles stayed behind me, trying to intimidate Sir Conrad and the rest of the Sky Knights. Meanwhile, Yan Sun, the old man, and I headed upwards, to the portal that they've opened. Right now, the portal was right above the Sky Kingdom.

"To think that Middle Plane Dwellers managed to access the floating islands and live there... quite innovative if you ask me." Yan Sun commented as we floated upwards.

From afar, I could see Natalia, Zenith, and the Fourth Battalion all gathered on the large field where I was doing parlor tricks a few hours ago. They expectantly looked at me, surprised. I immediately sent them a message using my Long Distance Call. I didn't want them to risk their lives just so they could find out what's going on.

'Don't come. The Sky Knights will explain. They're coming soon.' I immediately said before they could impulsively act.

Even from a distance, I could feel Natalia and Zenith's willingness to come with me but I gave them such a commanding stare that they became firmly planted on the ground. As much as I'd hate to say goodbye like this. I know that they can't come with us. The Higher Plane is a much dangerous place and they're beautiful ladies to boot. A mad royalty or someone of high rank would more than claim them and with my current strength— let's just say I wouldn't be able to protect them.

"Natalia, Zenith, I know that this is sudden but please bear with it for a little while. I have no choice but to join these guys since not doing so would put the Sky Kingdom in danger. And also, I wouldn't want any of you being brought to the Higher Plane against your will. Right now, focus on cultivating until you reach the Astral Realm. It's the Realm above Heavenly Astral Realm. And once you get there, wait for me. I will give you a signal by sending another message to your heads. I'll try to survive as much as I can up there and I'll buy you a little more time. Here's my storage ring, in there, you'll have every high-grade essences and pill that you'll all need in your cultivation. I also put an ancient technique in there that would allow you to put up a barrier to hide your cultivation level from the people in the Higher Plane. That's all I could do, for now, please stay safe." After saying a lengthy letter to the two of them, I stepped into the portal after Yan Sun and the old man entered in first. But before I completely left the Middle Plane, I dropped my storage ring and sent the letter towards Natalia and Zenith's minds. That's one of the perks of the Long Distance Call, you can say something in advance and say it all at once in some type of mind letter.

Onward to the Higher Plane, I guess... although this is definitely not how I expected it to be.
