Weekly Chapter 4/4

Her mother pulled her along by grasping her wrist. She couldn’t resist her furious mom. When she tried to free her hand with all her might, she fell to the floor. Her upper body touched the cold floor. She held back her tears.

“I hope you know you’re a bad daughter.”

She shook her head to keep from crying. She clutched her sore belly. When she lifted her upper body, the pain began to spread through her body.

“Have you planned to get married?”

She bit her lower lip.

“You don’t plan to raise a child alone, right? Answer. You know I’ve had a hard time because of your father all my life. What on earth were you considering, Jumi?”

Kyung, who pounded her chest in indignation as she rested her head on the floor, finally sensed something strange in Jumi’s behavior.

“Hey.”

The cafeteria door opened again. The atmosphere changed. It was the same scent that the bed had the night before. Kyung retreated a step due to the sudden presence of the intruder. Jumi could see the man’s feet.

“Choi Jumi.”

The man lifted her into his arms. Kyung was now standing in a corner like the grim reaper. Kyung was furious, yet she remained silent as though she were a lifeless body. But when Jumi witnessed his great power, she instinctively let out a groan.

“It hurts.”

“Where?”

“Here.”

“Take your hand away from me.”

He walked past Kyung, who covered her mouth with her hands. Finally, he sat in the back seat. The car left for the hospital. Even though she had left the cafeteria, she knew her mom was there. Moreover, the agony she was experiencing prevented her from returning. Under normal circumstances, she would have been embarrassed.

His large hand covered her belly.

“Why did you come to the cafeteria?”

“You were careless with your mouth, you should take responsibility.”

She had told him to shut up.

“So you came to punish me?”

“Yes.”

She grumbled. Had pregnancy hormones changed her behavior? As she attempted to nestle into his embrace, he shifted his arms accordingly.

“I tried too hard yesterday.”

“I don’t think so. It appeared you enjoyed shaking your r3@r.”

The man smiled. His neck looked prominent from below. Would the day come when this arrogant man would bend? Jumi felt frustrated.

“No. And at least don’t use such vulg@r words…”

She closed her mouth. Her weak hands were soaked with sweat.

“You should really thank me that you’re still alive.”

Yoongyo laughed as she covered her belly.

“But I’m afraid…”

“You’re scared? You haven’t even broken a bone.”

“…It’s scary to say it so seriously.”
